How does the flash for G900 work?? Do you have to turn on flashlight beforehand (like w810) or does it turn on/off automatically in dark lighting??

every phone on the market now adays has its advantages and disandvantages, u gota take your wants and needs, and choose the right phone that has the least disadvantages for you.
in terms of comparing this phone to others, it may lack gps functionality, an xenon flash and an acclerometer, but theyre are no current phones on the market which bundle these with a touchscreen and a decent keypad, which for me is a make or breaker, as i, like alot of others, am a heavy texter.
please mstl, find me another phone on the market which has wifi, a decent keypad, 8gb memory card capicity, symbian, 5mp camera and a torch, with simular dimensions to this phone, please?
in terms of its downsides, in my position with my wants and needs im more than happy to forego gps and an acclerometer for a decent touch screen and small dimensions, and personally id prefer a torch to a flash.
if you want a tradtitional phone with current functionality, go for this phone, but please dont buy it, cause i want the demand to go down so the price will drop :)
its about time someone put u in ur place mstl, if this phone doesnt suit you then dont get it, but it may suit many others, like myself

Yes the Nokia N82 has better camera and maybe other feauteres, but in the shop i choose G900 simply because i love the design, and i dont like carryinga brick in my pocket.

I suggest to compare
N82 (an old Nokia) to the G900
using the GSMArena nice feature.

Current price on N82 is less than G900!!!!
With much more and better features.
