Anonymous, 06 Jun 2008I agree!!! Do not trust anybodies opinion! Go and try... moremstl...you keep saying how bad the G900 is, when again here is the quote... 'G900 seems to be a better option as long as the camera functionality / overall functionality ratio is concerned'
and that is a ACTUAL quote. not my opinion

haha, thanks for all the suggestions.
i would LOVE to try out the G900, but unfortunately it's barely in the US as it is. and the place that i would purchase it from will not let me just try the phone then return it. i need to buy it in order to try it out. =/ bummer huh?

Go and try the G900 yourself - if it is not slow for you and you like the camera etc. Buy it.

For me, it was slow, and lousy - I had waited for this phone, but the quality is so bad I would not get it or suggest to anybody.

K850 is an old phone but I think it is much better (and much less $) or something else.

lol, thanks guys. i'm like stessing out cuz i'm like so stuck on the G900 and its like heartbreaking that it probably won't work well here in the US.. SIGHHHHHH

i checked out the N82 is pretty decent actually, but im an ericsson girl. =[

Yes,the n82 is a great phone but the G900 seems to be a better choice for overall functionality so if ya want the better cam go for the N82, if u want a better overall phone go for the G900

check out the samsungs as they have great phones too.

                      :)

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Hi there, never knew the fone won't work over there. try other SE phones like the walkman range. You do know that the G900 is a smart phone:) if smartphone is your thing, try the P1i; maybe cheaper than the G900. Try the LG Chocolate and the latest Samsung range. Do a comparison search on google and hopefully you will find what you looking for:) all the best

I do not like the old n82 looks, but the black much better.

The price of K850i less than N82 - since the article was published.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970You need a quad phone or US tri-band.

According to these SE fans the N82 (they making it in black now also) has good quality camera.
The price is about 450 USD.
I guess the N82 as they say is a good choice.

The K850i cheaper (360 USD) with less functions, but still ok phone.

Use the compare option of this website.

This does not make the G900 owner happier!
Not only SE makes huge mistakes.

There are dozens of phones out there.
Some of them has decent speed! And they are not released a week ago and they don´t cost 500USD.

G900 was perceived very slow and has an outdated CPU!

˝Let’s begin with the bad news. G900 has the same 208 MHz CPU that P1i had and this hasn’t been anything new even in the phone from a year ago. The RAM is 128 MB large, the exact size previous UIQ models had, so the question is righteous: where is the progress? Nokia is already at 369 MHz, Windows-based stuffs usually have 400 MHz, but there already are handsets with 524 MHz, or even 600 MHz processors.˝

                                        Is this better?
                                        :)))

˝Summary. I think that G900 is a fine, well-thought-out device. It’s a pity that is visible only on the design and the software, as the ancient CPU working under the hood is simply not a partner for making the potential users completely satisfied. It’s a smart device for calm, non-hasty people. It has everything that is required at this level, it just simply falls behind in speed.˝

                                        THANK YOU for the correction.

Yes, the C902 has small screen and lousy camera etc. This one (G900) triband, lousy CPU and ....

Of course, there is no perfect phone but there is no excuse for all these mistakes!
You may disagree - go and enjoy your phone!
