nice, but not nice enough.
208 MHz processor wont be fast enough to operate a symbian uiq phone with the given internal hard disk of 160 MBs.
sony's touchscreens are another thing to worry about. seeing how insensitive w960i's touchscreen is something very stressful to deal with. plus why would you need a touchscreen with only 256K resolution (very poor compared to LG), 2"4 in size when you have a full numeric keypad, plus a d-pad?
no lens cover, and the poor flash is gonna be another dilemma. nice thing that they added an image stabilizer (although i don't know how much convenience it will add), but the lens is still not carl zeiss which spells a big difference. plus how many fps is the video recording? hopefully it's 30 fps or this phone's camera is done for.
the 256K screen resolution is borderline, but still acceptable to just view photos and videos. i'm just disappointed because sony still doesn't realize its flaw: poor screen resolution. and with improved screen resolution, sony's gonna need to figure out a better way to create a long-lasting battery, even better than nokia's 16M colour screen phones, if possible.
mono speakers are also something that's gonna disappoint lots. seeing how great sony's stereo speakers usually are, this is really gonna be a let down.
however, i gotta hand it to sony that their phones are more better shaped (smaller and lighter, i might add), equipped with powerful batteries that will last a lifetime.
let's just see how well things will turn out for this phone.

I have a Nokia E65, but Nokia doesn´t top Sony Ericsson... I´ve used SE for the past 5 years, but had to get a Nokia since SE didn´t have a model with Wi-Fi... Now, I´ll switch back to SE! AT LAST!!! (Sorry Nokia)...

this is by far the best mobile handset in the market according to me! it has everything you can dream about! agreed, it has 30fps... it does not have stereo speakers... but guys, this is a next gem business phone! do we really need all those? it has a 5mp cam but touch focus for crying out loud! and what are you going to do with 16m colors? make it ur home theatre? get real! and check out the size to features ratio... beat that nokia freaks. all new nokias have such horrible built quality it feels shameful having to hold one in public! i am using a p1i and am amazingly pleased with sony... hopefully if priced right, this would be my next phone!

Also forget to mention that Sony Phone has 256K Color and Nokia has 16M color. Makes a big difference. The 16M color consume more power this show that Noia has solution for longer Battery life and Sony has not found the solution otherwise they would of had 16M screen. I agree that Sony phones look much beteer than Nokia and I look forward Sony take place of Nokia sinc I am using Nokia for over 15 years and do not mind to make a change. But Sony need to first reach Nokia preformance before becoem the leader. I think they are about one year away before pass Nokia.

It seems like that you can not read the spec. of the phoen before you make comment. Non of the Sony phones support 3G worldwide. It does not have 3G at 850 to support USA 3G.

IT looks great sony. But it still you forget to put Worldwide 3G like most new Nokia phone support or better resolution and better flash as N82 has. The features for this phone is not there but the desgin looks nice. I like it. Right now I am happy with my Nokia82 and IPHONE.
