I do not like this phone..had it for about 1 year & then later on, it started hanging up!
Went to the mob. repairer but he said there was no problem with the software & that the touch was the culprit that was causing the hang!
Now I'm using SE ELM. In the beginning it was hard to adjust to elm b'cuz i had got so used to the features of G900, but now i've finally got used to it! :)

i already use this phone for 2 years..and its still ok..only got problem on their touch screen..but it can be solve by changing their screen..not too expensive and now I still use this phone..their application is enough for me. :)

I am an ex-user of g900, use it for a year and now I am using nokia c6. Let me conclude the pro and con for new buyer
pro:
1.reasonable price for it's feature
2. Touchscreen is ok and the writing recognition is good for non-english text
3. Very compact
4. Wifi connectivity is strong. Download opera mini for it.
5. Music quality and music player interface is awesome
6. Camera quality is good! Yes its good but look at the cons.
con:
1. My stylus broke after week. Although it has a spare one.
2. UIQ3 is dead. No apps for it.
3. UIQ3 is very unstable and unreliable.
4. Processor is too weak, the UI is very unresponsive and not touch-friendly.
5. Camera is very vulnerable to scratches! The camera lens lose a lot of quality due to the scratches!
6. SE has abandoned UIQ3, so no more f firmware update and support.

This is a crab phone. The touch screen is very slow and not very sensitive. Camera is absolutely terrible. Within six months I had a problem with touch screen that I told they cannot fix it. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE

i've used g900 for almost 6 mos and i never had a prob on it... for me it's a nice phone the touch screen is very responsive,the sound is so nice even the battery has a long life and not to forget the wifi i really enjoy it. it's super fast to connect..but on the other hand there are times that the camera is a little blurred.. but most of the time it is ok... so i recommend this unit.. you won't regret having this unit..

i got my g900 phone 1 year back but now i got a prob with touchscreen i went to sony service centre but they told tht thy r not having touchscreen for g900 on stock so pls can anybody suggest me frm where to get touchpad of this phone except services centres they are not responding properly..

read all posts and am afraid am about to a sensitive and likely one of d worst SE phones, though i really like this fone which av bin searching for d last 4 months now. i dont think a fairly used G900 would be perfect. am really scared to read past users comments on dis fone. may be i should settle P1i. I need your advice pls.

Is there any option to reset network settings in this phone? My internet has stopped working after i used another SIm for few mins as the internet settings have been mixed up from both the SIM cards. I dont want to perform master reset. any help??

I had sony ericsson g900 from 14th april to 2nd october...
before purchasing i thought it was a cool phone but experiencing its a crap...i used to use g900 as well as nokia n97....
i sold my g900 and bought lg km900 arena and i am happy with it......
i will mention the pros and cons below.....trust what i tell u and i wont recomend it.
Pros:
1.COMPACT AND ACCESSORIES are compatibe wither sonyericsson phones
2.touch and keypad
3.WiFI
4.Symbian(Outdated and slow)
Cons:
1.5mp camera is a joke.worse qality than my earlier k750i
2.touch screen is hard and some wont work with stylus
3.housing broke after 3 weeks.
4.stylus broke after 2 months
5.housing and stylus unavailable at stores.
6.symbian uiq is outdated and no apps and games r available
7.phone freezes
8.charger port doesnt work
9.no themes available to change icons
10.m2 card is xpensive
11.the color of the D-pad faded out.
12.lights automatically gotten fused after 3 months
13.charged it twice a day
PLZ DONT MADE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID AND USING IT IN FRONT OF OTHER PPL IS REALLY EMBARASSING...EVERYONE SAYS ITS A CHINESE PHONE EVEN IN SHOPS.
DONT BUY I HAVENT LISTEN TO THIS FORUM ABT NEGATIVE FEEDBACKS WHEN PURCHASING IT.THIS WAS MY LAST SONYERICSSON PHONE EVER.....
I SWITCHED TO LG ARENA AND I AM HAPPY :)

However, I have had this thing nearly a year, it is a solid, dependable tool. There's not much to choose from vs the W960 I think. Both have simple touch screen. G900 has a decent media player interface ... even UI is nearly identical on all things.
Pick based on price, you'll be happy with either I think.

G900 is a newer model compared to W960. G900 has also a higher MP camera with digital stabilizer, has more powerful battery so it means it has higher standby time. The 2 phone models has almost the same feautures. The only good thing about W960 is its 8gb internal memory (but G900 has an expandable memory also up to 8gb - u just have to buy a memory stick). remember also that W960's memory is not expandable. W960 has 2.6 inches screen but they have the same resolution with G900. I would advice you to choose G900. But the final thing is it depends on what style of phone would prefer most.

i have used this phone over a year now. it is a very good phone but the thing which i dislike about this phone is sometimes it frezzes wheneevr you go in the internet or after you take piks. that the only thing which i hate about it. wea as the othrs fings are guud :)

I have been using this Phone for moew than a year. It is a cool Phone with all Essential features. The Tocuh and Keypad is a plus for this. The 5 MP camera is Wow for out door.. and pritty bad for indoor.. but after all it is Mobile Cam ;) so nver mind it.. I must say that I have chnaged the Touch screen once. But that was fully well my fault. If you are using it frequent placing it in your Jean you are to get this problem. take care of the touch screen with a screen guard or a pouch.. you can use it for ever :)The Sound is enough Loud... Best you can choose to have the sound levels for SMS, Ringtione and Mails by dragging the level bar.. Happy bout G900.
