Hi guys, I am a Nokia fan since like 4 years, now I have 2 phones which are Nokia n95 and the G900, to be honest the G900 fit my needs and it is really a great mobile unlike what others say in the below comments, u just have to get use to it and update it (if u have crash problems) all in all I rly like it and it is not slow like so many said, I agree that the camera is not as good as a normal 5 MB camera like in my n95 but it is acceptable. so if u want to buy it just go for it without being scared.! Thanks

Change your sim, or upgrade it through the operator over the air. Some operators still have sim cards produced to work with old phones. Some themes come with a ringtones. When you change theme, the ringtone changes as well. There is an option of previewing the theme, before you apply it to see what the pictures and ringtones are. So on and so on...

I used it only for few weeks, its awesome but i notice that i'm not a huge phone person, i want something simple like a flip phone. (Im Selling this phone on ebay right now..check it out "Sony Ericsson G900 Cell Phone - touchscreen [UNLOCKED]") This is great phone. Things like Note-It App, the amazing picture quality (5.0 megapixel), WI-FI works great! The music player is amazing, the speaker is great.

hey guys.. I'm planning to buy a G900 but some comments below scare me coz they say that it crashes and is very slow..can anyone tell me the real features of g900?it scares me to buy a phone that would be useless..thanks..

Please stop messing with G900. I've had the phone for about 3 months already and it works perfectly fine if you know how to use it. G900 is an advanced phone so if you don't know how to use it, than go and use a cheaper phone like the N70. (P.S.-N70 is so 70's. It feels so plastic and looks unprofessional compared to the G900.)

SE G900 really get on my nerves already with all the crashing things it does. I bought this G900 last June 2008 then after a week it started to crash down. Problems like, invalid SIM, no access to network, corrupted memory, slow interface, does not follow what you intend to do like if you want to use this ringtone, then after, another ringtone is played... and so on...(i can't count them). the worst thing is that it needs to be update always. Thou I updated it always, still all of this problems occurs. Im not saying the problems occur per week but every hour of it especially when i am using it. My boss in my work even scolded me due he can not contact me... invalid SIM Card reflects on my phone. What even annoying is that, it is so expensive... what a waste on money. I really hope SE can do something regarding this rather than producing in effectively...

I'm in AUS and I recently purchased a G900 brown from HK grey market. I've own many phone brands, including smart, symbian etc....and I must say I'm pretty impressed considering UIQ is now dead in the water. I updated the phone via SE suite. it updated the phone with a UK/HK customized update from memory...The phone hasn't crashed, runs smooth and does everything i need it to do, including WLAN, games etc...I do agree to some point that battery life, camera are bit disappointing, but overall I give it the thumbs UP! speed of the phone is average, was hoping for bit more grunt, but like i said it's smooth! even with a couple of apps running in the background. Its not that more bulky/weight to my W890i. You get used to it. Screen brightness during the day is good, as long as you set it to 75% or more. I've put a 4G sandisk memory and it's working great! Sound is LOUD and EXCELLENT. SE has always done well here. If you had allot of time and patience, you could customize the phone to really suit your needs and daily tasks, even the open office and PDF work great with my files. The touch screen and mark pen take time in getting used to, the touch screen rarely doesn't respond the 1st time, but that could be me being dumb. I could go on, but i'm sure i'm all boring you....so out of 10 I give it a solid 8.

just bought this phone last week...but now the speaker is defective...why such ericsson allow to manufacture their unit in g.wall...not good..im not enjoying this phone...anybody wants to buy my phone here in kingdom...2Riyals only...much prepare to buy E51...

This is a slowest phone ever!!!! especially whey you are trying to apply theme, you have to wait for 1-2 minutes before the theme applying process will be done. Picture quality of this phone is bad, image taken by this phone always appeared cloudy or over expose. No need to mention 5mp since is a bit non sense for this type of image quality. Aside form above mentioned, this bar was still considered a nice phone. All keys, and "touch screen" buttons are very responsive, music quality not bad and have a really "LOUD" speaker. And im having fun writing on sticky notes, is a very useful application when you need to drop down important notes but you don't have writing materials with you.

as all of these have the same image processing software.
take note that image processing is as important as the lens used.
that's why C905 is the best 8mp phone since SE revamped their image processing software. nice work SE.
@anonymous- so you only need a 5mp and doesn't need an 8mp camera phone? have you also thought of that a few years ago when the highest resolution is 2mp? will you stick to 5mp cameraphone FOREVER?! if you think 5mp is "decent" enough, think again buddy. i bet you also told yourself a few years ago that you only need a 2mp cameraphone when there's no 5mp cam phones around. lolz.

The latest SE phone is more worst then the old model! This G900 is failure phone! 5mp camera with flash, bad photo colour and image resolution, system unstable at all and need to update but hang again, price high, design no good, keypad handling no good and many many more....totally failure design.

I've had the g900 for around 2 months now and I'm quite satisfied with it. I'm having a few problems though with the media player and the memory card. I cant open the folders in the memory card from my computer and the media player takes random pictures from the photos in my memory card for album art. Sp then I tried searching for new media, hoping that it'll fix the problem but then many photos and music end up disappearing in the media player. I also tried formatting the memory card but I'm still having the same problem, and now in the "music" section of the media player, my 'artists' and 'albums' are still there even though the actual songs aren't there anymore. Can anyone please help?

I have said it months ago - G900 is a total failure!
Just like W890!
W902 has a chance but SE priced it so high it is ridiculous.
Not to mention, SE phones have high SAR values - more and more research show that it makes a difference to choose phones with lower SAR value.

But i still have my qualms on getting this phone even tho i've been eyeing it for MONTHS before it came out. Been too many reviews on it hanging and running slow after some time. Not great reviews on the functions of the cam and batt life either.
Perhaps i'll just wait a while and see if they fix up this model later on and release a new one... I don't wanna get disappointed with another SE phone again..
