I have read somewhere that it is possible to answer or reject incoming call through touch screen...
Is it true?
So can't we answer incoming calls with keypad buttons(or DPad)?

NIK, there is predictive text, but only if u type normally.
u can use handwriting recog if u want to, there is also on screen keyboard, but the kyeboard is useless without the stylus, simply too small...
ELY, I used to be a W810i user b4 this phone, n I LOVED that phone, I still do, but my friend droped a soccer ball on it, when I was holding it, fell from 1 meter with the ball on top of it, destroyed the screen...
no warranty left then, so I bought this phone.
I can't really compare the two.
one use java, one symbian.
one is touchscreen with normal keypad, the other a normal candybar phone.
function wise, of course G900 is a lot more advanced with 3G and wi-fi, the cam is also obviously diffrnt, 2MP-5MP.
they are basically different in many ways.
what I am sure is that G900 loudspeaker is much louder than w810's.
I believe if u dont need to change phone, u don't really need to.
w810 is a really 'fun' phone to have, but if u wanna mix 'fun' with more 'work', then G900 is a good choice, really...
about the size, w810 is fat, this phone is thin but almost the same width, so it feels a bit weird in touch.
in the end, it is about your own taste, what you want and how you like it.

I bought this phone, months after it was out.
at 1st I tght it was a failure, but tt's only 4 the earlier batch.
SE fxd most of the prob, the bugs and the cam not fnctioning, sddn hangs, trnng off by itself and other mssd up stuff.
(I'm in singapore)
now it's fine, no major probs at all.
if it is slow in opening any app, it is only 4 the 1st time u open that app, like mssgng 4 ex, but then it'll be fstr the nxt time u open it, as the app don't rly close when you close e'm, they'r minimized. chk the task manager, from there u can close it if you want 2.
but this (mnmzd app) eats up the ram, so it slows down the phone down a bit.
overall, it does a decent work as a slim touchscreen business phone with med plyr and 5MP cam, and the cam is rly not THAT bad as many ppl say, if you know how to set the functions acc 2 the surroundings, can not rely 2 auto 2 much...

Hi all. I'm thinking about buying this phone (I am an Ericsson user for years, k770 at the time). It's going to be my first Symbian device (and smart phone) and I've just read it lacks T9. Is that true? Is there another predictive typing aid? Or is it just click-click smsing?

This is a good phone, it's very handy, especially the notes application. The camera quality is alright but it's definitely not something to be bragging about. It's a phone that has everything but it doesn't really excel in anything... which is basically what I wanted - an overall good, light phone.
I've had it for about 3 months now everything was going well but over the past few weeks it's been acting up. It's been freezing and working slower than usual and the screen doesn't show anything every now and then thus forcing me to reboot. It seems like a software problem but I don't think it is due to the fact that it worked so well for so long. I want to update the firmware but no new firmware has come out for it yet. I'm thinking maybe I dropped it at one point.
I bought it off ebay so I'm going to have to send the phone back to Hong Kong to get it fixed under warranty.
Overall I would say this is a good phone but don't expect it to overwhelm you. It does what it's meant to do and that's about it. Think of it as the C student at a good school.

I was pretty happy with the W810 in terms of speakerphone, sound, camera and the sms layout/details, and overall size & style (almost perfect for me!)...
I've tried the W910 and was very disappointed! Esp with the smsing and speakerphone!
So I would like to know how the G900 compares to the W810... Hope to get valuable feedbacks. thanks!

xtine, 28 Oct 2008I have this phone for a week now, on its second day when i ... moreYou have a defected phone and you do not want to get another :) what do you expect from us - to fix it? :)
If SE could not make it correctly with a billion dollar research, warranty, tech support etc. - we certainly can not fix it by leaving smart ... messeges.
It seem you are the type of customer who cares about style (Sony) but do not care about substance( reliability, performance etc.)
- then you ned to live with your choice! Good luck!

The flash is not sufficient enough to take good pictures at the least.
Plus, can anyone advice as to how to use the frames, just wanna edit my pic in the gallery. There's no option to edit it if you do .. it only enhances the color, or change the color mode to sepia or black and white but not an option to add a frame into your pic.
please help. thanks!

as far as the comparison to the P1:
P1 is an old model! (reeal cheap these days, totally out dated)
and even when it was in its prime the major complaint was about its slowness - not a big deal to be faster than the P1.
BTW, the G900 has the same CPU - outdated, old one. SE made a huge mistake not to upgrade it!

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2008I've almost bought this phone, but i was testing 3 units an... moreI agree, I had the same experience with this phone and I have tried a few.
The G900 is just not a reliable phone in general!
May be a few customer got a decent one but too many people had trouble with this model.
But even a good once do not prodice a decent 5mp picture.
So, you people who are lucky to get a good unit please try to understand your unit do not represent all units. I think it is not a hard concept.
