Guys try solving ur problem by downloading Update Service from Sony website and then updating software through the computer.
It will be a 105 MB download of software.

Even i want the previous software back!
A very bad thing about the new firmware is that the flash remains on even if u switch off in the still picture mode.
This means when u click a pic, till the time the autofocus is running the flash will remain on.
It is very uncomfortable as everybody around u will come to know that u are taking a pic. Very embarrasing if u want to click secretly.
BUT more bad news is that the phone software cannot be DOWNGRADED! (says the sony website)

You can search for a program called "Mobile GMaps" and it allows you to make your own offline maps to use, and does not require a cellphone data plan.

I updated the software. A new update is available
(4 MB).
So far i have only noticed on diff, that in the Music player. One more submenu has been added.
Anybody else noticed some other change?

I want a new se phone design as w705 and 2.6 16m color display+5 mp with dual led flash+ autofocus+3.5 mm jack+ usb charge+front video call camera+great music same as walkman+ androiad 2.1 ui
Plz se make a phone whth such features
Then where will be nokia all se user knows very well
