Sony Ericsson J230

I am having problem with my J230i. When switched on, the screen starts to blink after say 10 seconds. I have to switch off and on everytime to see the screen. This is a regular/recurring problem.
Would appriciate if anyone could help me out with this problem. I brought the phone in INDIA.(Hyderabad, AP - to be precise).

i liek it's looks, it's fm sound quality
it's picture quality also it has many other usefull featuers but one thing which tease me it's memory capicity is low and more teasin gpoint
i cant add more games in it
there is opiton of more pictures
more themes
but not about more games

Dears I have bought J230 and I am totally hated this sets as nothing in this. No cable support no Ird, nothing I have just wasted my money on this cell.

Deep this phone does not support data cable, u have to download through GPRS.. I think
Samsung X210 is the best in low end segments cause it has lot of cool features..like data cable ,infrared,65k TFT Display,java support..loudspeaker..

hi everybody, I just bought my J230i. I have seen themes, wallpapers & games on the website. But is it like, I can only take those material on my phone by GPRS only ? Or is there any option of Data-Cord ?

yes u r right puneet tandon whem sim is taken out all sms will vanish so u have to take care of that thing,and there is problem when playing a game it switches off automatically,bad browser,bad task alert,memory negligible....
Good sound AND DISPLAY...

I hve bght J230i on 20 Oct,2006.And i feel that this phone has very good sound qualty of
FM,g8loudspeaker,app.Twice the volume than
6030.But it has some gr8 limitations also that whenever u change your sim card from it and put it later u will found all ur sms lost and not recoverable again.No Datacable support,Very less memory,No PC Connectivity..
Overall this phone never proves a good choice for anyone who wants this feachers...

IN Romania , this phone is free for just 5 euros/month .. And there are lots of phones free , only on Cosmote networ..the best thing is that they aren't locked.. :D

I have this phone ,This phone is good but not better than Nokia 6030.Though cheap but u have to look at the basic things which should be in a low end phone..like Nokia 6030 has java support,3MB of memory,Supports USB cable but J230i phone does not support these things and hence a looser... i would suggest u to buy Nokia 6030...But Nokia 6030 does not have a internal MODEM for GSM Dial up connection for internet..All u can do with the cable is to transfer data like ring tones, pics,themes...So if u want internet by connecting ur phone vit computer then i would suggest u to buy J300i but it does not have FM....So u will never find a phone vit all funtionlalities in low end segments....

Frankly speaking this phone has a very good reception on FM stereo sound . But the wap browser is too poor . Downlaod forom the services is pretty good like ringtones,picture and themes. But i suggested this phone must come java and Wap2 browser with Xhtml support with long battery life capacity. I am badly looking for that type of basic phone
