Dont u expect too much from this phone Dear.
Every low end mobile has few backdrops....U need to live with that....
I can afford to have a good one but Mobile snatchers neva allow me to do that.....
This mobile is meant for simplicity, basic communication and little fun....
I bought few casings for ma J230i....
Looks cool in its new outfits that's one pro....
FM features r good...Specially the option mono and sterio...very handy for frequent users like me.......
One precaution....removing ur sim then inserting another cost u a loss of missed recieved call record,and groups u have made from ur phone book....

just returned from the SE service center .they confirmed that J230 does not have a normal reminder function .So be careful before buying.

well guys,
this device is enough for anybody needs simple comunications with a little fun of radio.
do not expect to much if you spend a low for cost in this device.
But anyway, this one is better than nokia 2626/2310/1200/1208.
for the datacable, not important......
for what? back up your SMS/email in about 500kb memory ? come on guys !

i bought dcu-60 data cable. but it is not supported by this handset. Please tell which data cable supported by sonyericsson j230i mobile...............

I boughtthis phone yesterday. I have one problem. How do I enter multiple contacts for same name? Like say for Vasant How do I enter Mobile No, Work phone no & Office phone No? Is this possible in this phone? Request please give detailed procedure.

hv bn using the ph4 6 mths.the task alarm has practically no sound alarm(only 2 feeble beeps are heard ).can anyone HELP,or it is a STUPID DEFECT.

This phone sucks.....No Data cable available for this phone....A very low memory and Just a SHEAR LOSS OF MONEY>>>> All in all a baal chaal phone.

I have a J230i. I have found that stored sms not erased when battery or SIM card removed. SMS erased only when you replace with a new SIM card. Solution is to store the sms you want to SIM (limit of 30 sms). Phone numbers are directly stored to SIM and when SIM is full (between 210-250 numbers)they are then stored in phone memory (up to 500 numbers). Call list numbers are directly stored to SIM.
My j230i hangs and/or reboots when I select "yes" or press on joystick when the screen shows the list of tasks to view. I think it is a software bug. I bypass it by selecting "help" menu (key under "yes" key) and clicking on edit of the task I want to view. Hope this helps someone :-).

Hi all,
I've this phone. It has good feature and it comes for the best price. But, my phone has some software bugs. When ever I change the ringtone of my cell phone, it doesn't change. I used to change twice, then only it chages. Totally, I was satisfied with my J230i.

hey guys you are all not reading opinions carefully..this mobile does not support data cable..no connection to pc..all u have to do is to download wallpapers themes through GPRS..and this phone does not support java so u cannot download games also...this phone is good for FM sound and display..
