can you explain for me why my cellphone(k300i)always appear SEARCHING when i turn it on?so that i can`t make calls,send and reiceive message?can you tell me the cause of this?no technician can repair it.please answer me soon.thousand times thanks

joystick is bad...no sufficient memory..please think 100 times before buyin this mobile..simply superb sorry waste ...

i really like my this phone, its so practical that i could have all my needed reminders etc.. i also found out that i could send my pictures via email but i don't know how. can anyone teach me? sorry for the ignorance =( thanx

This is one wonderful phone you enjoy having. When I lost mine, I had to logde immediate complaint to stop any misuse. One trusted and dependable phone with lovely ringtones! I would recommend this lightweight to anyone who understands what a mobile set is all about.

The joystick sucks. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn' t. Don' t even think of buying a Sony Ericsson with a joystick, because Sony Ericsson' s joystick are bad. After 6 months - 1 year in use, there' s a big chance that its joystick will start to give you trouble. Sony Ericsson should replace joysticks with up & down and left & right buttons.

How do you raise the VOLUME on this model phone.Not the general volume but to increase the pitch level of the phone.

Hi if you want to get the camera off blk n white then u have 2 change the colour thing.1st go into you camera then more and then effects and you put the colour thing 2 off and thats u sorted!
I would recommend this fone as mbi your first fone so that you can get use to the stuff becoz its dead easy to work!

Easily the best phone for this price. An advice for new users.. sony always have issues with the joystick, so better use only for navigation and use the select button for clicking. it will add life to ur stick. cheers!!

indeed the phone is versatile but the only problem is acquiring the data cable, i own a pc
but due to non availability of the cable at this remote area of north-east, i`m at a fix.
could anyone help ???

hey Guys........this is a very smart phone for those person who is looking to buy a mobile phone for the first time bcz im using this mobile phone frm the past 2 yr.......and i had a very good experience...but the major problem is with the joystick...but apart frm that this is the best phone for everyone.....and ofcourse this is also a very best gift for ur's gf. nyways.........camera is not good but yes its clicks pic. mp3 is good but the best part of this mobile phone is the memory which is just 12mb..........................plz go and buy'd it............cheers

but -the camera is poor .
-the Memory is too small

Hi guys can someone pls help me... I had recieved good help from you guys b4 and thank you for it.
What hapn'd is my k300i charger got spoilt so the phone was lying uncharged for over a month. I recently bought a SE charger... now the only thing that happens when i plug in the charger is that the red light on the on/off switch(the one that indicates low battery) is on constantly (NOT blinking like it does when on low battery). And the phone won't switch on. Whats going on? Has it gone kaput?

K300i was the first GSM phone I used so was a bit sceptical. But I just say, am very happy with it. SE also happened to be only on second thoughts. Had used LG and Samsung CDMA phones earlier but they were just about passable and as never liked Nokia, was looking for an alternative to the above and am glad chose this one. It's the best I could have got in this price range and my next phone is also going to be an SE. You just cannot beat in terms of features, ease of use and best part is quality of sound output. Nokia (except for N Series) does not even come anywhere close to SE.

I've had my K300i for about 18 months now and i haven't had any problems with it what-so-ever, no joystick troubles or anything like that.
The battery charges fine and stays charged for days.
My reception is perfect whereas my friends' receptions in the same places are horrible.
I love the games and themes that you can get.
You can send picture messages and email.
The infrared works just fine for me.
The tasks and calendar function's really handy for me, as my memory's not the greatest.
I love making up my own silly little alarms and ringtones and seeing the look on other people's faces when they sound!
I even use the unit coverter from time to time!
The camera's not perfect, but i'm really into photos so i have a digital camera anyway. I want proper quality photos, so even the best phone doesn't cut the mustard for me!
The only small complaint i have is the size of the internal memory. I wish it was larger, but there's always things you can do to get around that. I mean, how many messages do you really need to keep? And, like Warren Galea said, if you just add small parts of MP3s, like enough for a ring tone, you can fit quite a few on there!
Overall, I'm really happy with my phone, it does everything that i want it to and more!

Owning a sony ericsson K300i was a very good experience but the company should improve the quality of joysticks, mine stopped working in less than 6 months... n memory space too should b extended to atleast 25gb's...
