I owned this phone for a solid 7 months.This is an excellent offering from sony ericsson.For the price you get alot of functionality,decent vga camera,video capture,mp3 playback.This phone is well built and feels solid.I often dropped this phone and toward the end threw it around to test it.it works to this day.OVERALL: 8/10

hello guys,
i have this phone now for about 1 year and 1 month and there is not a single time this mobile phone irritate me
Im a mobile phone lover , i purchased so many sets early but this is the best even compare to symbain's of nokia coz of low price and Outstanding performance.
You can Listen to audio mp3 songs as well as play 3d java games simutaniously , fast processor
Must for medium income people.
Don't waste more time reading just go and get it. You will be never disappointed !!

K300 is an unbeatable phone why?
find another phone brand and model everywhere else offering amazing game performance, good battery, excellent sound in speakers and with a 12Mb memory and never failing infrared... this is the best low-end phone ever made...

well im usin dis ph for d last one n hlf yr...it works nice..fallen sooo many times bt d joystick doesnt wrk properly...n dey shud provide diff buttons 2 select d menu n 2 pick d call...sound quality is superb...bt photo quality is nt gud as d screen is also so tiny..bt still it works nice...

hmm... now my k300 is already 9 months.. and i've proven that this is my best phone ever, very reliable except the joystick, but i always have a way to remedy that since jack and @Doul(from K750 thread) gave me an advice to prevent the malfunction... i'm having a plan of buying an ASUS V66 or V75 so that i could have two phones... one for multimedia(V66/V75 for having every possible multimedia features in such a very cheap price) and one for messaging(k300 coz it has lengthy battery life),.. but still this is the best SE low-priced phone ever made...

This is an excellent phone. I have a K300i (Blue & silver). But there are three major drawbacks: (1) The image & audio/video recording quality is not that good when viewed or played using the phone itself. (2) The battery's standby time is about 2 days maximum when the phone is being used, if unused in anyway whatsoever it increases (3) This is the biggest drawback in this phone and probably in most Sony Ericsson phones -
If you tilt, move, or lift the phone while it's being charged the electricity power supply goes off, it comes back, it goes off again..... since the charger's connector to the phone is very sensitive unlike in many other phones. This situation is not good for the phone's battery and for the phone!

I have been using this phone (K300) for over a year now. It is very good among its class. Just compare this phone specifications with other phones and theirs prices. You will see that K300 stands out among its group. Tell me of other phones with 12MB, IR, Cam, and other features of k300 with the same price of this phone?

It really is a gr8 fone.I dropped it about 5-6 times n its still like new.It wouldve been much better if its memory could have been increased.

Hi,
never EVER mess with the batteries with outer force. Pirate batteries completely lack electic safety circuits but also original batteries should not in any way be effected with outer force. This is the same for all original batteries from all major handset manufacturers.
Only use original chargers. Original chargers remove current spikes; pirates chargers do not. This means that using pirate chargers can damage your phone since the spikes can destroy some electrical components in the phone.
Sorry to say, but trying to "puncture it [the battery] very lightly" is very foolish. Don't try to repair something you do not understand.

uhh...d cell is k...been usin it 4 a year now...really god price 2 say d least..its got almost everythin a good cell needs...d cam is k..after u set a couple of settings...but the problem is that wen u set d camera u get a 150kb size file n dat cannot open quickly nor is dere lot of space on d fone...tokin of d space...its really less..not enuf 4 ur music n videos
d cell doesnt have bluetooth which is a dissapointment but d infrared port is really powerfull..it has never failed me...
d display is clear..not so clear in d sunlight...but quite decent..screen 2 small..
gud sound quality...joystick is horrible..sumtimes its jus stops workin..but never d less...its worked well 4 me..sadly m gonna sell it of 4 a m-600...adios

the phone is really strong i also had the experience of the phone falling to the 2nd floor as well and it still works well

Not a bad phone but the memory could be a LOT better! some pictures, a couple of videos and a couple of songs and my memory is almost completely consumed - a mem card slot would have been good in this phone.

Since few weeks i started setting up Mp3 tones on my K3, Its sound quality is quite kool & whenever some body calls & the phone rings, every body start staring @ me wondering which cell phone could it be !!! I Love it :p

If you're referring to the comments posted by disappointed, then if you want to know it, let me tell you that I'm sure that the battery was genuine because the mobile was bought from an operator called VODAFONE.I think that this operator is a very well known and reliable one.The box in which it was bought was branded with the operator. Thus the phone and everything in it was brand new.Maybe what happened to my brother was just an unfortunate event.Thank God it doesn't happen to everyone! I must admit that SE is a very good producer of mobile phones in terms of features.
However, when it comes to practical things,it shows some flaws.For example, why not put a rubber cover on ALL SE phones connectors (as in K700i?),& not just some of them?! With time a connector exposed to the outside environment becomes dirty and it becomes very difficult to make a connection with the charger/handsfree/headphones.I know this from experience.So pls SE do make connector covers...it would give you the edge (from the practical point of view) on other mobile producers.

Well i guess the problem with your battery was that 1. Its was'nt genuine or 2. You've bought the used headset, I'm in Karachi,pakistan & we have the same problems like packing the used headset & selling it again, thats why i use to buy phones from Well known shops like MZ or United mobiles ... I did'nt have a single prob in my K300i & I'm so happy since i bought it & now i about to go for its DAD, Thats K750i LOL.
