to mehran. If you mean movies, yes you can receive and play movies in 3GP format via bluetooth or data-cable even MMS and GPRS, not mp4, i tried putting mp4 format videos but the movie did not show only the sound...which means it supports m4a or mp4 audio only.

Of coure you can send films with bluetooth or Irda.

I want to by a K510 but I read in a site that we can not receive film.
is it true?
can't we recieve film by bluetooth or infrared?

For mr. no name before I think that the pic size depends of the light in the place where you take the pic. I only take pics on daylight mostly on sunny days because in dark or weaklight they look bad. About the music, convert your mp3s into mp4, not mp3 at 32 bitrate with Nero 7 as I said before because mp3 at low bitrate are bad as you said. And use the headphones and you'll see the difference between an mp3 and an mp4. The browser is good only for wap pages and it loades the whole page because they are smaller than HTML pages. As I said before, enjoy it and have fun.

you say that pic taken with ur phone at full resolution the pic size is max 280kb but im set my mobile camera pic cuality in fine mode it takes pic 310 to 400 kb each pic
and i convert mp3 songs 128 kbps to 32kbps but sund is not gud in phone and u say sound is good batery stand by time is nearly 53 to 55 hours gprs is great using in mobile own browser its speed is great to download sites

To Vishan, a few comments on what he said. I have my phone for almost 4 months and the joystick isn't working well any more. About the battery, mine lasts over 3 days in standby mode, if I keep the phone on the table without using it. In talking mode it lasts about 3-3,5 hours. About the camera, I agree that it is the best 1.3 mp camera for the phone's price (under 100 USD in Romania, 80$ on contract with Orange). About the shutter sound you are wrong, it is impossible to turn it off, even in silent mode. The pictures taken with the camera at high quality and max resolution have about 280 KB and not 400 how you say. About the browser, I don't use it for the same reason that it does not load and display the entire webpage. I also use Opera Mini, in fact i'm writing this post on it right now. The thing about java permission is very annoying because every time I use opera or other java applications I must give the permission to connect to Internet or to make a photo with the camera. I find very useful the thing that the phone disconnects from the Internet/GPRS after 30 secs because otheswise the battery would discharge very fast (the same way it does when you are talking) in 3-3.5 hours. So if it disconnects it is just as I am using a java game, altough I use opera and not as I use the internet same as the talking mode. I have unlimited wap acces by GPRS or EDGE on Orange Romania for 3.5 EURO (4 USD) per month, not per kb or how you said you have and I don't care if it reconnects to the net everytime I change the page in opera. A tip for music. Use Nero 7 Burning Rom's encode file feature and make your music in mp4 format at 32 kbps. The quality is the same as a normal mp3, you'll be amazed. I have 20 mp4s on the phone, 6 MB of games and applications and I still have 2.5 MB free. Another problem is with the screen resolution because I found a lot of free java games but they were for 176x220 screens. Good luck with the phone and enjoy it, it's great!

man! this mobile is cool!!! it has all feauture good screen,good sound no slow playback of video like in l6,kg200. this mobile is simply best! i recommend to buy this mobile!! a must buy mobile!!! just the think i did'nt liked about it is no memeory card :(! that's all!!!!

the battery life is too short(about 10 Hours in standby!) i replace the battery with new one but the problem did not solved.

I purchased my K510i two months back having read almost all the reviews available on the web and hundreds of user reviews available on the internet. So here is what I feel about some of the features of this phone
Battery life – The standby & talk time given in the specifications do not seem to be true at all. My phone battery will have a maximum standby time of 48 hrs even if you fully charge the battery and leave it on the table without using it. A 900mAh battery should have been provided. (Unfortunately you can’t use K750i battery in k510i) but you may not feel this to be a big problem if you are at office because this phone can be charged through the USB cable.
Camera – the 1.3mp camera is of excellent quality especially given the price of the phone (this phone can be purchased here in Sri Lanka for around 140US$). Even the micro mode pictures including texts and close objects will be of very good quality. A photo in fine quality mode may go even above 400kb. I would say this is (need not say “one of the”) the best 1.3mp camera phone on the market. You will not hear a shutter sound in the silent mode. However you need to make sure that enough lighting is available in the scene before you take the picture.
Web Browser – One of the major reasons which made me buy this phone is that this phone has a full HTML browser (which claims to be Access Net Front) for web browsing. (This is the cheapest phone next to K310 with a full HTML browser!) Unfortunately this browser has not been able to perform upto my expectations. This browser does not seem to be able to handle files which are over 100kb in size. You will often get the message ‘Large page - contents incompletely displayed”. And also most of the time the browser does not display the page properly. I think the problem is in the RAM of the phone. This phone has, as I know, only 1MB of RAM. The browser has a “smart fit” option which will show the page vertically (like in opera mini) but still you may get the same aforesaid message. Another problem is there is no way to minimize the browser. I recommend Opera Mini (full version) over this inbuilt browser. Opera Mini is far better than the inbuilt browser.
MP3 – Quality of the MP3 songs played by this is very good. Media player is also ok. But remember you have only 28MB. You may compress MP3 files to reduce the file size and the sound quality is still not that bad!
Java – the performance of the Java applications is great. But you can run only one application at a time. Also the phone does not allow java applications to explore the folders live – saved web pages, themes, games & applications. Also another annoying feature is that in the permission settings of the java applications there is no option like”never ask” to access the file system or connect to internet. As a result the phone will always ask you whether a java program should be allowed to access the file system or connect to internet at each time that the program (eg. MobyExplorer, OperaMini full) is trying to do so. And also Java programs are unable to keep grprs connections alive and after around 30 seconds of inactivity the connection will be lost. I am not sure whether this problem is common to other phones also. This is really disadvantageous if you are paying on a per-kb rate with a start-up fee for gprs.
Another useful function that I miss (and which my outgoing Motorola C350 had) is that the ability to lock the selected functions of the phone using a password. For instance I could lock only the messages so that only to open the messages, a password was required. But there is no such function except the whole-phone lock in this phone.

1 The pictures that you take at night are very unclear, in fact they look bad, even in night mode.
2 You can use any audio file format as ringtone, message and alarm tone (mp3, mp4, mid, amr etc.)
3 Yes, you can video record until you finish the memory. With all the memory free you can record about 25 mins.

i just got it and its pretty sweet, camera is nice, the facewarp feature is kool, almost like taking with a mac book. The sound could be better. It is quite simple which makes it good.
Games in 3d is pretty cool

Its a nice & cute phone. Have wonderful features. Only issue is that the Battery life is too little. Still its value for money.

I have this phone for 4 months. I like it very much, I have a lot of games and applications on it and it's working fine, except the joystick wich doesn't work well in down direction. Someone knows a SE phone that doesn't have problems with the stick? Or should I ask if such a phone exists. I'm planing to buy a K750 or W800 because I want more memory for music, but I am afraid of the joystick because they are older models than the K510

Great fone, but needs some themes and apps. if you do it, it's the best.
