I was earlier using K300i, but lost that lovely phone and then purchased this K510. This is a nice phone with better specs and camera and display. But the build quality isn't good, cuz the "1" key isn't working fine, I have to press it hard(since I am a regular WAP user and keep chatting so this is a problem for me). The call voice clarity isn't as much as K300, and sometimes the phone slows down and almost hangs at startups sometimes. Also, when u r in browser and typing a message there on a WAP site and u get a call, the browser willn't work after the call ends. You have to exit and restart the browser. By the way, To transfer java games from PC, just copy the jar files to the Other folder of phone memory using the sony ericsson file manager. Now simply open the "other" folder in ur phone and click the game's name to install it.

this phone is awesome! its a great size not too big and not too small! but im shattered because i chose the LG M6100 over this phone! IM SO STUPID! lol anyway its a good phone!

Cant find ny better phone 4 this price. Same time there are some probs: The silver color from the back is comin out, cant extend the memory, head phone is too costly.

K510 is a upper middle class phone. No mem card? Don't worry. I have 19 apps, 13 games, 29 sound files (MP3,MIDI,AMR), and many pictures and I have 7.5 MB free! Could you belive? The camera quality is great, the music player is good, and no radio is no problem. There are pocket radios with lower prices and easier use. No flash? SE has a portable flash. I think it's one of the best phones ever released.

The font size of SMS is too big for my satisfaction. Do you know how to change it? Though in general, the phone is amazing.

I don't know about downloading games from PC because the Games folder does not appear in the phone memory on computer. Maybe someone can help me what to do if I have java games on PC and I want to transfer them into the phone by USB cable. However you can try downloading free games directly to phone from here: http://sovawap.profitux.cz/dl/Java_C75_CX65/index.php?page=0 . I recommand Allods if you like RPGs. Beware that most of them aren't compatible with the phone's resolution. I have a few more links with free java games if someone is interested.

K510 is a nice phone very handy & compact. But the silver colour on the back side is coming out, thus spoiling the look. Otherwise its great!

For rasta: the content of the package includes the phone, battery, charger, stereo headset, USB data cable, PC Suite CD and the user's manual as standard. That's pritty good if you look at the price (under 150$ in Romania at free). You won't find the PC suport and stereo earphones at a mid class Nokia, so SE K510 wins the at the accesory category. In addition a Nokia with the same specifications is much more expensive. So I think that K510 offers much more than any of it's class rivals. Hope I helped you.

I've noticed that too Allen, but it does support MPg4 audio, but mp4 video does not play.it only really support 3gp fully.

The phone is great! All's fine but I've noticed something. On every site that I searched about it (including this one) I saw that the phone supports MPEG4 format but it doesn't. I've tried it, you can try to and you'll see that the phone does not support MPEG4 files.

I have this phone for three months and I can say that it's a great phone. It realy worth the price so if you are planing to buy it, don't hesitate! The interface is user friendly and the software has no problem. The camera of 1.3 megapyxels is good, the mp3s are clear and the memory of 28MB is enaugh if you convert the music. If you use the Internet I advice you to download OperaMini from here http://wireless.getjar.com/mobile/software/Sony-Ericsson/K510 .It realy helps because the phone's browser doesn't load the entire page.
It's a great phone but like all SE models after 3 months of use has a problem with the joystick. But at this price (under 100 usd) you won't find nothing better.

GREAT PHONE!!! This is really awesome phone, great for its price. Cheap price doesn't mean this phone is bad in midle class. Look its camera result, the camera has a big resolution..1,3 MP. Even if this phone compare with x700 samsung or k600 ericsson, the camera result was satisfied than that 2 phone. No flash? it doesn't metter. SE has a flash (optional). how about the music quality? my k510 have 45 songs, and it's still have 5mb free memory!! can u believe it? when the songs played via loudspeaker, it is bad...too much noise. Then i bought a W810 earphone. Expansive of course if u buy an original earphone. BUT!! when i hear my mp3 using w810 earphone.....WOOHOOO!! the output sounds was very great, better than iPOD sounds. Especially for the BASS, i'm really2 satisfied. 28 MB without external mem? no problem, i can transfer the photos to computer so my memory is just only for music. I have hear e398, rokr e1, 6233 nokia, k700, k750, w300 and z530 sounds quality using earphone, mmm and they are not so good if compare with k510. but k510 is defeated by all walkman phone (xcept w300) . Thanks to SONY ERICSSON!

I'm using this phone for a month now and overall it's a decent deal.
Pros:
SE interface is great, the phone operates quickly in all tasks. Also, the camera takes excellent shots in day-light conditions.I think that 28MB of memory is more than enough. I prefer a real MP3 player for my music. Packs alot of great extras such as Push Mail. Great reception and an excellent call quality.
Cons:
-Keypad build quality
-Joystick controller build quality
-battery life (2-3 days max, few calls n' sms only)
-clock screensaver is unnoticeable (screen type issue?)

i plan to buy this phone but i have a few questions., if you can answer me it would be great...it would mean a lot for me. 1: How is the joystick because i had joystick's phones before ( not se) and all failed to work after about 1 year. 2:How is the mp3 sound?? that is all guys . hope somebody will hellp me. al good for you.
