The problem I have with SE now is their entry level phones have IrDA, but not Bluetooth. The newer mid and high-end phones have Bluetooth but not IrDA, so there's no easy way to transfer pics and sounds thru all their devices. The K530 should have IrDA to transfer with these devices and also to give another connectivity option should there be a problem with BTooth. I think it's also often easier to beam accross small files with IrDA rather than using BT passcodes, etc. So this phone looks and is good but it is missing a key feature.

No InfraRed. SE is not a 'QUICK SHARE' phone anymore! It would be better if there is wlan & vga video size!

Why do they always have to miss on one or two features. Here they have missed out on the flash light. Will there ever be a complete phone?
Also when is the phone going to be launched? July, August? any idea guys?

oh just to mention, gsmarena has gotten the specs for this phone wrong. The screen resolution is meant to be QVGA, not the ancient 176X220. This is one little great mid-entry phone.

the GPS appears to be only activated when the new earpiece that comes with this phone is plugged in.... how to use gps when u forgot to bring the earpiece.... quite inconvenient

people or specifically nokia fans bash this phone due to the fact that it's a copy of K618,W660 an bla bla. this thread had so many pointless and crap opinions. if you simply don't like it then stare at you respective sites. i may think you(haters) are jelous about the HGE-100 capability by which no other brand has come to offer GPS and Stereo headset + 3.5mm jack in one. and this reproduced model of the same feature yet in different design helps SE to top out their sales as people have different tastes. even samsung, nokia and motorola do this then why the smaller SE won't?

This GPS navigation capable cellphone is the first from Sony Ericsson's stable to do so, boasting full point-to-point navigation. Not only do you get help in knowing where to go, the K530 also delivers weather forecasts for your current location if the need arises. The K530 is also supports 3G connectivity, letting your surf the Internet and catch up on the latest news via a RSS reader. its similar to k550 n k750 but less cam pixel than k750...but 3G
what will be the price in India..
If price is below k750..it will be nice...

Nah It Not Worth IT ... Same Looking W810i. Just REdid The Paint Work. I Bet The REndering Engine IS Same .. And U Can Use W810i SOftware On This Phone

this is phone is hype, it has the gps headset that comes with it, that can make the phone gps enabled.
