Oops i mean stop fighting opinion bout k550 and k530.
Btw i wonder if k530 users r know d difference between k530 and k610 and k618. Just looking that there r 3 variants that provide d same thing, i doubt se's 3g quality on these 3 handsets.

Nope. K530i is one of d failures. And p1i is the superhit model :)
i think we should stop k530 and k550 since both are SE's, and both r intended 2 b failure. Believe me. What d real technology is in d highend p1i or k850i. If u r satisfied with either k550 nor k530, SE wont release d high end one. They intend 2 make u buy 550 or 530 and satisfied but wanna get more, they'll bring u p1i. It's affordable.
I myself chose k550 bcoz of its big int mem and data cable. It standout easily. While k530 is like a clown version of k618i. All r failure however.
I just want 2 show my friend that i have a 550 which is more powerful than her $200 besta at much lower price :)
i think if mr goale can afford k530 why dont he just buy a k618 which is much more superhit and less failure than k530 and k550?

what i need is a bigger internal memory... k530i only offer 16mb.. cannot be compared to k550i 72mb
to many people that love k530i.. i would like to warn that 3g is a advancing technology. it would someday be replaced with 4g or whatsoever, so it cant be ur long term partner.. i think you should go for nokia e or n series instead of k530i 3g on budget... which is far more failurer than k550i.. it would make you look like a poor man that want to afford a 3g handset.. (no offesense, based on public interest). many choose nokia 6300 despite it also lack 3g.. so 3g is not an important matter.. i would like to have 3g phone but absolutely not k530i. perhaps n95 or p1i. k530i is just for wasting money..

many 6233 and k530 user trying to pull k550 down because k550 is on top and better....
notice n95 or other higher phone user never enter this forum because no need to tell their phones r best......

hey there!! please help me with this issue. i have k550i and everytime i received calls it automatically drops..i wont be able to talk to the person calling me, help me..is there anything i need to reset in my settings so that i wont have this problem..please do email me

If we want good camera at 2mp level then we can go for k750 and k550 or if we need 3G,great sound, better cam at 2mp level,software downloads etc then we can go for k530.

by comparision ,if we want 3g and softwares we need K530 for camera we need K550,but k530 is better than k550 because k530 has 2mp cam,music player,radio with rds etc like k550.

K550i is great but now I got S8186 smartphone running on Windows Mobile 5.0 platform. It has a 3" QVGA touchscreen n supports a max of 4GB micro SD. Amazingly it was cheaper than K550i.

D battery icon turns orange/red wen its left abt 17-20%.above 20% of battery den d icon is green.

hey evry1, i wanted to ask tht whenever my battery is low, the batter icon is still green. i mean in my previous set (K510i) whenever the battery used to be low the battery icon used to be orange or red if really low :S something like that. But in this whenever my battery is low the battery icon is still green though it shows the battery is low. i hope u guys are getting wht m saying. is this thing normal? :S Or is it only in my phone? Pls do reply!

k530i is for 3g enthusiast..
in my country where i live 3g is very pricey and useless... no partners to talk with
in my case i need a bigger INTERNAL MEMORY... which in this case k530i only offer 16mb compare to k550i's 72mb.
in case that my j2me dictionaries can't be stored on m2 (i haven't found one though).
secondly, k530i don't come with either m2 nor data cable... while mine come with data cable... (m2 purchased separately)... making it worse to buy another data cable in case u want to flash or debranding..
eventho k550i is my primary phone.. i would need another BACKUP phone, something that could do which k550i cant.. such as 3g, wifi, symbian, gps while i'm in china... perhaps p1i or n95.
if u wondering why those great handsets will only be backups? simple.... no multiglyph input support.

I'm not a mobile phone tech follower... so I don't push my demand on camera quality nor sound quality. etc.
I'm a language student... and I'm going to China for studying their lang.
I have a k510i b4 and its joystick already irritates me so I decided to sold it and buy another one..
My choice would only be SE... why? since here in APAC,
only SE which has guaranteed to have Chinese input built-in. while Nokias are not..
so i neglect any other brand and only look for SE.
2nd... my friend who already in beijing, she bought a BESTA (calculator like dictionary) around 200USD to accompany her there. So i think why should I go for BESTA if I can have dictionaries on j2me. But then K510i memory is too small to install dicts.
So what I need is:
big internal memory (k550i has 72mb) - since I'm afraid that there's some j2me apps than could run only on int.mem.
real multitasking (its stated on wikipedia) - i need 1-2 dicts that can run in background state.
great j2me support (6233 can only run up to 700kb j2me apps only, while my k510 can run 5mb j2me apps. stupid nokia!!)
sufficient cam (1.3minimum, k550i has 2mp and it's a cybershot) i don't push on quality, only in emergency situation, such as i dont bring digicam and i need to take some Chinese writing or else something like that, this phone can handle it.
many AV format supports (mp3, wma, wav, etc) i know theres sum limit, but i only ever need mp3 and wma actually.. i never watch vid on my phone.
Japanese chars display (yes this phone can disp. Jpn kanji... along with chinese simp-trad, russian, greek, hebrew, arabic, thai, etc...) it's default on my country... i dont know what about it in other country.
so eventhough i dont have the same need as u guys... I still choose this phone as what i need above...
I would categories this as a small devil SMARTPHONE rather than Cybershot..

Yes...I use this model..The picture quality of this mobile is excelent.But the ringtone and the sound is not so loud..Also battery of this mobile is not so powerfull.
