i've bought dis K550 5 days ago...choose 2 buy it instead of K750 coz it's so slim,,not using joystick,,stylish....jz so nice...but jz wana ask,,those who'd been using dis long enough----dis hp gt flash anot while taking photos ??? dun hv is it ?? i jz couldn't figure where is it ?? n yea,,battery not so last...

hi kel,
actually i want 2 buy a sony ericsson cel not any oder one...and only 3 models come within my price range.....w700i,k750 and k550i....out of these three....i realy dont like d look and color of w700i...and k750i is also not soo gr88 loking and is is old as well......i like d looks of k550i and it is slim as well.....so d only doubt was about its camera and sonud.....it is a K-SERIES phone...so i cant expect walkman sound from dis but atleast it must have gud sound....and obviously VERY GUD CAMERA....as it is a K-SERIES and CYBER SHOT phone...........but after reading so many mix reviews i m sooo confused......any further help or suggestions plzz to clear all doubts????????????

thxx for eliminating doubt b/w w700 and k550i...well i also thought dat d best way to find out dat d camera performance of camera is to go to store and check it......but.....very strange....no store has real k550i.......dey just have dummy models......HOWEVER i got a chance to check out d k550i(MY FREND'S) at night only....and at night its camera was very bad....dat created a doubt in my mind...........but now i think ....i should go for k550i...may b within 10 days......any further comments??????????

Is there anyway you can add Instant messanging(AIM or Yahoo?) to this phone i wanna get something like that on my phone but no luck :(

There is no chance that w700i cam will perform better than k550i. W700i has no auto focus and k550i has auto focus . Also k550i has a TFD display which is much brighter and sharp than w700's TFT display Also the running speeds of the camera and the cell are much greater.....
Just like a Pentium 4 and a Pentium 2 computer..... k550i has a much better and speedy processor also .........
Also K550i supports upto 4GB memory ......

well rohit, heres an idea: go to a store, take some pics with k550 and w700 on same objects, and compare them!

yea i know dat photo quality is seen on pc....but if i m buying a cel wid cam...den 1st dat should produce gud loking pics on cel....someone told me dat on cel,clearity of w700 is much better den k550i----dats y i m so confused..bcoz if its camera is not working better dan w700 on cel....den it should b a better idea 2 have w700...bcoz it has walkman sound....i want 2 have k550i bcoz i thought dat its camera wil work grea8 on cel in comparison to w700........but after reading reviews here---really i m soooo confused....if its camera is performing better dan w700 on CEL...den i wil buy it...oderwise........so plzz can u confirm dis????????????/ thx

I cant understand why u r asking this question??? The real clarity and quality of a mobile camera can be seen only if u view the pictures after viewing them on a computer scree n.
If u get good pics, then they will look great on a mobile screen as well !!!!!
Only nokia's 6300 which has 16 million colors in its display cheats us !!!! The pictures look great on mobile, but ugly on computer screen !!!!!!!
So please understand that THE PHOTO QUALITY IS ACTUALLY SEEN ONLY ON A COMPUTER SCEEEN AND NOT A MOBILE DISPLAY , WHICH IS TOO SMALL TO JUDGE !!!!!!!!

thxx for ur useful comments and pics...yea d pic looks gr888 here...but wat makes me confused is dat most of d people are just talking about d pics after transferring dem 2 d computer.....i want gud camera performance on d cel as well......dats wat i want 2 asked...just last ques. plzzz....is d pic clearity not soo gud on camera(not after transfering dem 2 d pc).....plzz tel me sooonnnn.....thxx

Hi ROHIT.
IMHO, K550i is a better buy. Its much faster than K750i. Audio is better. Screen is better. Camera is Excellent in daytime. It does have a night mode (Twilight) as Kelvin has rightly pointed out.

There is an option "TWILIGHT LANDSCAPE" and "TWILIGHT PORTRAIT" which u will find in scenes from the camera menu.
To use the shortcut key, just open the camera and press "7". Then u will get this.....
These two modes can b used as night modes as the exposure is long here ..... which is what a night mode does... so that more light can enter the camera sensor.
Ok hope u understood ......
P.S. Unless u use ur led lights , the night mode pics are pretty average with k550i. K750i does much better but gives yellow tinted photos if u use led lights.....

one month passed,stil lot confused whether 2 buy dis phone or not????nothing is clear about k550i......many people said dat it has NIGHT MODE...but i did manage to check dis phone(my frend's) and i checked every OPTION in CAMERA SETTINGS while taking a pic....and strangee...dere was no NIGHT MODE....how can u people say dat dis phone has NIGHT MODE????even in GSMARENA review,every CAMERA OPTION is shown in pics,but even dere is no NIGHT MODE....SO PLZZZ JUST CHECK TWICE before posting a review here....

Anyone has any idea abt the price of microM2 memory sticks in India, 512MB or 1 GB?
Mobile store has K550i for ~8700 rupees with 128 mb, Sony stores have it for 9200 with 512 Mb. Which is the better deal/

dis is d first time dat i m soo confused about a phone and til now i m not able 2 decide whether i should buy k550i or not??????how can reviews varyy sooo much???somebody says dat dis is an excellent phone ------ and someone says dat its camera is even bad den a VGA camera......how is it possible?????really i m soo confused?????can anyone tel me plzzz correctly dat is dis phone better dan k750i in terms of camera and sound quality plzzzz?????????????????
