Does this phone has "flight mode"? (that enables just work as a camera and a music player)
BTW is this a good phone to use as a music player(i know theres a walkman series,) but what are the differents in this and say a W800 ?

should be good. but some of you really need to learn to spell write etc reading these comments sometimes is impossible!

I've got this for a month and my comment
pros: solid even i dropped several times. very loud mp3/ringer which i like the most.key pad u just have to get used to it and got no prob sending sms. picture quality is acceptable. battery life thebest.
cons: it turns off by itself a couple of times.design is average.
overall: I would keep it for a while until a new SE comes along..cheers

hi guys i am planning to upgrade my k750 , but there is only one little thing that is bothering me .... can you lock this fone with a passcode so that no one else can have access to the messages and files on it , i simply adore the k750 and this is the obly reason i cant keep it any more ....

well k550i comes with in built phone memory of 74mb and m2 card memory 64 mb . So total usable memory around 135 mb. Good enough 2 hold around 20 songs ....
Well as 4 sound outside volume is same as walkman series phones but slighly less than 750i which has a very high ring volume.
And camera mathces 750i in daytime... but it has no night mode like 750 , so pics are bad at night ... But in daytime excellent pics ....

Mind u 550i is much faster phone in all its features.. music player sounds great and matches the walkman clarity if u use walkman headsets as I am doing....
Battery life say i get around 3 days minimum ....

i am thinking of getting this phone but have mixed opinions on it ! but what i do need to find out,to further my research on the phone is how much memory does it have? how many songs would it hold? is it good quilty and worth the money? and fineally do you think i should get it, if yes ... WHY and if no....WHY ?? x cheers x

Basically I think that SE w610 is also v good and am also waiting for w660 to be released..It has v well designed keypad and 3g too....initially I thought that keypad for k550i,w660 and k810 will not be comfortable however I went and checked and have found that they are abs fine....and infect as times goes you will like the keypad more.well as a default all SE are coming with v good cameras and you can choose any..even SE 810 is a superb phone and if you buy you would love it...just go thru this forum for each SE phone and you will have some good inputs...inputs from Kelvin are also v useful.

Sound quality is almost comparable though SE is slightly on the better side but diff is not too much and can be ignored. Camera is better with SE and it has flash too. However remember that 6300 has 16m color and a vibrant screen which is really impressive. Na Nokia has great UI....

First of all this phone has 74 Mb internal memory and has also not li-ion battery but has li-polymer battery at 950 mAH :D

I was in the market for a new cell phone for about a month and wanted to make sure i bought the right cell phone for me. I was choosing between the N76, 6290, z610, u600 and the k550. To be honest, the K550 was at the bottom of my list. It looked like a plane jane phone, i didn't like the bar style and it wasn't as feature packed as the other phones. However, and that is a BIG however, i ended up taking a chance and going for the cheaper buy in the white k550. Best. Purchase. Ever. Not only is it small, sleek and good looking, the texting as much easier than i expected even tho the keys are small, the exterior doesn't at all feel cheap like the z610 and even tho it is a bar phone its very sexy and easy to use. The camera is great and on par if not better than my friends 810 and last but not least its a reliable Sony Ericsson and i'm very pleased to be back on the good guys team. All in all the k550 is an underrated bar phone that is well worth the cheap price tag. Awesome phone.

i wanna buy this phone but i want to ask and consider only 1 thing: how is the button?? because im affraid the button model like my old nokia 8890 which if i used it for years it will be rusty , very fragile and not shine again.
so you guys please give advice about the quality of the button,
