danial, 17 Jun 2008hey can anyone tell me if this phone has any sort of passwo... moreDear this phone does not have a password protection for messages but the messages can be stored over memory card thus saving your phone memory drastically.Currently i have come across 'SMART GUARD'a software developed for Sumbian s-60 phones, over Vodafone network but they are still in a process to develop the same software for Java based phones like K660i. The software is decent as one can put a pasword for protecting every kind of folders(Music,photos,messages,contacts).If i come accross any such software, i shall tell you about it.

i've bought this device 2 days ago. the problem is that when i make a phone call it shows up a box which say " Ciphering not provided by operator. Insecure transmission. " i'd asked the saler. they said that some of them have this problem and some don't and they can't also figure out. and sometimes after i play games for a while, the activity key stop working, unless i restart it. Please help me.

Hello, Im new here, just wanna buy a new SE phone, and i wonder K660 can connect to the internet if i have wireless connection detected on certain area?? ( NOT WIFI) & do the sole problem that k660 has is the theme that will change to default when restarting the phone???

This phone is great, the internet is great and also it has pretty decent page load times. It is compatible with Opera mobile browser and the battery lasts really long.

This device is a powerful device with many high end features. Whilst the Cybershot, Walkman and uiq os based devices are worthy of praise the K660i deserves serious consideration for anyone wanting a very capable all-round device. Highly recommended.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Go for Sony k660 as it is equipped with a decent Music player and screen and its battery backup is more than 6120 classic. The latter scores more points only if u wish to download a number of softwares to work over as it is a symbian based phone.

FireFox®, 07 Jun 2008This phone cannot load the themes that is stored in the mem... moreNo that is not true i have all doenkoaded themes in the memory card and my phone loads all without any difficulty.It seems your phone needs a software upgrade or reinstallation may be due to a bug.

To all users of k660i the company claims to have put on PLUS feature in Applications[It is highlited over the cover box] but i did not find this application anywhere. On contacting Sony Ericsson service center in India they expressed ignorance in the matter. Did any one find the Plus feature in Applications? Pl reply.

My previous phone was the W710. Great phone, but the rubber came off. I like the K660, but is it just me or is the battery life of this phone not so great?

I'm not sure what you are saying is true to all the other K660i because my themes (which is stored on my memory card) seems to appear when the phone has restarted. It doesn't go back to the default theme.

Hi to answer some of the questions:
- you have to have the headphone inserted to listen to radio
- when dialling, the numbers does appear big
- voice dialling is present however i tried to use it and still don't know how to work it
- for continuous listening to music (via headphone) its no problem. I always use it as MP3 player in trains etc. The headphone however does not seem to be the best one out there. it might just be me, but the shape of the earpiece doesn't seem to fit into my ears. You've got a choice of stereo widening and normal base and then mega base.

does anyone know if replacement fascia/housing can be bought for this phone? and if so where? ive tried the usual places, ebay & google, but cant find any! not sure if its just because the phone is so new on the market, but it makes me think (and because of the band of colour around the edge of the phone) that covers cannot be replaced, but then surley if your phone was damaged, a replacement cover would be available???

How is the sound quality of this cell.....n how loud is it with headphone ( not necessary loudness of speakers ) ?? no concerns for the camera .i juz need to know is this phone good for continuous music listening ?? n can external memory (atleast 2GB) be added ?? pls anyone using this phone reply soon.....thanx
