I upgraded to this handset from a T610; I have to say I wasn't disppointed.
I love the radio feature, and as a graphic designer the 42MB memory lets me carry around PSD's and the odd MP3.

I find it strange that people are having problems with the Bluetooth, I use a Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter, Model F8T003 and I've never had any problems with stable connections or anything. I can't comment on headset stability as I haven't used one with the K700, but I've heard that the problems can normally be attributed to the headset rather than the phone.

One more thing, can anyone tell me how to check my firmware version?

TIA
Kev

I've had my k700 for afew months now and heres my opinion. A great phone with a few flaws. The features are great on this phone, the camera, 15 min of video recording( playback quality is poor), fm radio, bluetooth, extensive phonebook, user friendly menu and more. The phone is stylish and quite fun to use. For me though, the phones a bit small for my big hand, textmsging can be hard but still not too bad. The phone is definitely a good phone for a phone buff but is lacking in areas! For the size of memory not bad but here's why the k750 will supersede this phone, a memory stick would've been great to have. I'm having problems with the Bluetooth connectivity, always losing the connection btwn my headset and other things such as my laptop bluetooth adapter. and Yes, it's true, the battery life is crap...I'll get two days of it max...and beware of where you are and what firmware you're using cause it directly affects your reception and therefore your battery life! Cool thing though, the light for the camera is blindingly bright, brighter than a inova X5 led flash light that I have! The profiles on the phone, too many and you had to adjust each one as you change environment! Example...say i'm in normal profile and I attach the headset...I chance to silent mode while I'm using the bluetooth headset...if headset disconnects, so does the silent so your phone is no longer silent even though you still need it to be on. So don't be suprised but some unwanted ringing! Overall though I give it a 8/10...S.E. should really work on their bluetooth tech...it's irritating.

      To Jen:
Either use the data cable or a Bluetooth Dongle...and just click and drag on your laptop...when your phone connects to your laptop, it's like an extra storage device. With bluetooth though, I have constant problem with a stable connection. If you plan to sync your phone with your comp, do it with a usb data cable...it's a lot more consistent.

I picked this phone up in January and on the whole I've been quite pleased with it. It has it's fair share of faults - it's crashed a couple of times, the MP3 player occasionally hiccups, the menu is kind of slow and the camera seems poorer than my sister's cheaper Motorola V550, but it makes up for these flaws with a whole bunch of options and goodies. Calls are clear, the speaker sounds far better than you'd expect from such a small unit, the menu is pretty intuitive and entering text is a doddle. Recently superseeded by the S700 but still a great phone for its price.

            Alex

You will need a usb data cable (DCU - 11)to transfer sounds mp3 vedio clips etc. from you phone to your pc. Unless you have IR on your pc or a blue tooth Dogger

I was looking for some pictures of this phone at the internet and I have discovered that there is a part on the buttons light that is not illuminated. Doesn't it looks very bad??

                                    osama dear
--it is too difficult for any 1 to hack any mobile device through bluetooth because BT works within the range of 10meter and u also need a computer to perform this act. The only problem to hack any mobile is that ppl keep on moving therefore it is difficult to keep any 1 in such radious and it also consumes some time as well but maybe maybe u mst have been sitting anywhere when this happen giving hacker the time to perform this act, u better know when and where it happened. as well as ur personal data is concerned ill suggest u to synchronise ur data like contacsts, notes, tasks and sms Inbox etc with ur Pc so u can have a back up of ur things and u can use "OutlookExpress" from Microsoft office cd and making ur connection through BT or IRDA.forget abt ur lost contacts cause they r now gone however u can ask ur service provider that if they have a backup of ur contacts maybe they can help.
