I am deciding to buy either a k700i or a k508i.
Needed some guidance.
1. Someone told me that neither of these phones has photo-id. Is that true ?
2. Which has a better keypad ? I found the keypad of the k508 to be more comfortable for smsing.
3. Hows the battery life of both these phones.
4. Is it true that the k700 camera takes better quality pics and has longer video recording time ?
Please guide me if anyone has any knowledge on these phones.

I don`t understand those who says that mp3 files can`t be used as ringtones, i already have 36 mp3`s tones (20 secs at higher because now i just use it for ringtones) and all of them works perfectly!!! maybe your service provider blocked this function but ì don`t think so.

The K700 is a cool phone even tho i dont have one personally i have the updated K700i which is a alrite phone but you can get problems with it for instance 2 weeks ago i went to get my phone replaird becasue the joysitck broke off the board. but part fromt hat its a hell of a good phone

no fault comments about the phone sony ericsson k700i its has beautiful features
like its got bluetooth ,mp3player,radio,
41mb shared memory,voice dial ,very beautiful phone in the market its 500pounds
but who comment any thing false about this phone i will knock that person out of the game

good phone,get and excleent communication via bluetooth to pc but poor battery life when using the mutimedia e.g vedio and a big disadvantage cos one can,t use the mp3 downloaded from ur cds as ur ringtone but with other features it an excellent phone.

Yeah matthew yours if PERFECT!! Because u self-modified it? Good battery life? Thats because u didn't use the features that much.. Make sense man.. high quality camera at 0.3mp?? Cmon stop joking around. The better fone Nokia 6230i is 1.3mp with a memory card expansion slot that can easily transfers data to the computer.. easy to use joystick?? when its quite flimsy as ppl in this posts did mentioned it. 20 mp3?? Tell me man mp3 compressor software doesn't compress mp3 at a higher rate.. so don't tell a lie here in this posts..

hey Matthew u calling the symbian 6600 and the 6230i tht has far better features than even the 6230 which kicked this k700 in to oblivion, pretty much sums up all you know about phones. i can only pity you for missing out on so much due to your ignorance.

This phone not like other phones.Because it is very differant.Always i love taht phone.Igot more information about this k700 phone.I heat nokia phones because i was had anokia 3100 phone.It gave me more problems.once it was turned off by it self.Like that problems i heat this phone.Sonyericsson k700 phone is vey good.

Many people have problems with their K700i mine is perfect, no faults, good battery life (4 days), high quality sound, high quality camera (specially in the sun), easy to use (the joystick) i can fit over 20 songs on it (when I compress the size, but they still sound high quality)I could go on, but then we will all have children by then thats how good the phone is, better than most of it's Nokia competitors e.g 6230i, 6600 etc they are so much more, what can I say, useless compared with the K700i!

Hello People,
I bought my K700 last year. I was really excited but check below what has happended in 12 months
1. Got Joy stick replaced
2. Got 3 sw upgrades
3. Last week got the main board replaced
It hangs frequently, camera dosent work, phone book entries get replaced automatically, battery life sucks ( dont use camera ,fm or mp3 often)..gosh i can go on and on....
I am absolutely dissappointed hope they make phones that are stable. Planning to switch to some other brand any suggestions are welcome..

Hey Sukle;The K700 package contains a K700,battery,cd of pc suite(old version :0),good quality handsfree and documentaions(user guides,SAR info,warranty card etc)

Nokia?! Who are you kidding? They are miles behind all the other phone manufacturers. The only Nokia phones with equipment levels that even come close to that of the k700i cost like three times as much, and on top of that are damn ugly. Stick with Sony Ericsson, you won't get better for the price.

gomy the phone is VGA its a 0.6 MP camera the 1280x960 is just the size of the pic for when u wanna blow it up on computer. If u got a data cable take a pic in 1280x960 and put it on computer and it will take up full screen and the 160 res is suitable for storing pics on the phone only. Ull also save heaps of memory buy using 160 all the time for it is the same quality as 1280x960 just different sizes on the computer. :D
so ppl dont go thinking that its 1.2 MP case if it was the camera would be way more greater than it is now and show less pixely boxes in video camera

well i just bought that fone 3 days back, i had Nokia 6600 before, well to tell u honestly about that fone, well overall its a nice fone Video Quality is better than Nokia 6600 but image capture quality is just ok, battery of this fone really Sucks... great fm Radio with Quality sound, Screen is not as wide as NOKIA 6600, but overall its a nice cell fone but it needs more care than NOKIA 6600, but overall nice set

The phone does not have birthday memo feature!
