if the mp3 is used as a ringtone it'll sound really loud at max volume compared to the max volume if u listen to it as a song...(i referring to loudspeaker)....not sure why the difference.why cant they make the song playback in media player etc just as lous as when its used as ringtone? they worried that it'd caused hearing loss??

doul or any1 plz!!!!
well after 6 grueling weeks without my k750i i come back to have it well repared but now the joystick has gone crappy, it doesnt respond very well, it sometimes doesnt even work properly, it will skip or something. when its jus sitting there and i put my finger on the joystick it wiggles like its loose. i dont wanna have to wait so long again, can any1 help me with a home remedy??? plzzzz

In my opinion, this phone is a great phone. It has in terms of specifications the best features for its value. With sony technology in it to support the camera and the MP3 player you can't go wrong. Compared to most of the other 2.0MP phones this has the best quality of them. The sound quality of this thing when it plays MP3's is nice, but the volume isn't that great. Basically the sound is good but you can't really hear it in crowded areas. So if you really need a phone that is mostly the best in ever aspect and you want something to last you a long time then this would be a very suitable choice for all of you.

Switch your cp is on silent mode and you can no longer hear that clicking sound whenver you take pictures.=)

Hi!! I bought last month sony ericsson k 750i. It's an amazing mobile but i have one problem. Sometimes when i go to pictures thubnails to see my pictures some of them aren' t appear as a thubnail but as a black screen. When i choose them to open it, it appears normaly. Does anyone knows why?? Sorry for my English, i am from Greece. Thanks.

Well, 'bout your queries...Of course you can write messages and do other stuffs with your unit, while listening to your mp3 (all at the same time)!=) All you have to do is to minimize it by following this: while playing your music, click: More>Minimize...and, that's it! For more information on how to maximize the use of your cp...try to read the users' manual (well, good luck...it's quite boring.)
On the other hand,sorry...but i don't think i'm the right person to answer your number 2 question for i have just bought my unit last friday.

Disadvantages: screen is too small, you cant forward the song while playing it...or u cant watch other tracks while playing one song.
Advantages: Camera is superb, MP3 via ear phones...superb,not through Speaker.
Can go up to 2GB MMC stick.
If you are keen on changing the handsets all the time...or you get bore of handsets..dont buy this...after 2 weeks you will need something better,
Allways we buy handesets & sell it off after few days..n loss of Money...go for i-jam ...will satisfy you all needs

Yes, to be precise , k750i CAN play MPEG4 videos... just gotta convert your videos to mpeg4 and send the phone and voila!

The K750i cannot differentiate between an incoming OVERSEAS call & an incoming LOCAL UNLISTED number call. The screen will juz show 'NO NUMBER'.
Nokia fones can. It will show a different screen display.

to rajeev: charge your battery, man. there`s a charger in your packet with your phone. you can read how to charge a pohone in the guide.

was very happy with my k750i. but yesterday it suddenly stopped working. when i try to switch it on the screen flashes for a second and phone shuts down. next time when i try to switch on nothing happens, unless i reinsert the battery. again on pushing power buttons screen flashes for a second and then the phone shuts down. can anybody help.

Ok test worked. I think it had something to do with not being aloud to type the word the firmware directions. Ill stop after this.
Sunitt - Shutter can be disabled on some firmwares by putting in silent mode (# key). Drivers are supplied on the CD.
Virus - Do a search to find latest firmware. Latest firmware might not be made available to your area yet.

PI0j (No name)- Bluetooth stereo handsfree wont work (if thats what you mean) - k750 doesnt support a2dp profile for playing music.
Lion King - you might have to take it in to the service center if it wont turn on.
Nikhil - Never tried syncing. Have you read the manual. If you have post what probs your actually having and maybe someone can help.
ijs{ (No Name)- This phone can use both sony and san disk memory stick duos
Awais - Maybe its the fact you got it for $250. You got it second hand right - broke in 10 days. SEs durability is not too bad really. It can take the knocks unless your constantly dropping them on concrete or neglecting them. Definately wont break in 10 days.

I've had my k750i since December 2005 and I've enjoyed every moment I use it. My dad bought me a 512mb memory stick and it acts like a regular iPod with a built in speaker. iPod users can't listen to it without earphones or expensive players. I love the camera, I can print 5x8 pictures without pixelations. I also use it as a flash drive. With a not-so-slight inconvenience of the need for DRIVERS. It's funny that you can't play the radio without the attached earphones though. The overall interface is not as slow as the past Sony-Ericsson models, just right for me. A major disadvantage I recently found out is that: THERE'S NO MPEG/MP4 PLAYER for the K750i! You can only watch your own videos. :( For now, I can't have everything. Overall, I love my unit. The joystick is still working so far... and I'm not a subtle user.

HELP! HELP! HELP! bought this k750 less than 4 mos ago & now it's saying INACTIVE SIM & does not let me receive/ make calls nor send/receive text msgs. this hapPened 3 days ago & when i went to our local Sony Ericsson service center i was told the only solution would be to reformat the phone but it's a 50-50 chance; the phone may either work again or shutdown altogether. it's too bad my phone's warranty already expired :( i'm going to another SE center after my work today.. i jsut thought maybe other people here can help me. pls? my friend said this is a common problem w/ Ericsson phones; too much program will make it shutdown. i don't know if it's true or not tho i refuse to believe it. i love this phone, i just don't know how to make it work again! pls help me asap if you've had this same problem before. i really need it guys. thanks

the mp3 players in w800 and k750 are THE SAME! the sound quality is the same! the only difference is the interface. also, w800 comes with 512mb memory card, k750 comes with 64.
to all the others:
you sure can forward tracks wile listening to them, the screen size of k750 is about the same as d600 but the sound quality is much better in k750. i would really choose k750 is another class
