If you dont want the word suggestions showing in a box when you txt, then go more and word suggestions. Choose dont show. When you txt the word will be underlined and u just scroll up and down and the word changes.
I know it happens every where but read before you ask questions. Read down the page and other pages, read the specifications, read the manual and even test it yourself.
So many ppl post putting phone on silent to get rid of the shutter sound but dont realise its firmware dependent. Some countrys wont let u do it.

Hi, I have been using this phone for the past 3 weeks and I would say.. SE is theeeee BEST. They really outdo Nokia in every way. I purchased this phone after reading the review comments on this site. And I have no regrets with this phone. Infact I have got my pals with nokia envy. He he he.
In th past I have read complaints that the while clicking a pic, the click sound needs to removed. I can suggest a better workaround. Press # and set the phone to silent mode. There it is.. you won't get the shutter sound. Try it.. it works. I find this better than going for firmware updates.

Does this phone play games? My Nokia does. Does it have polyphonic ring tones like my Nokia? Also, is it good like my Nokia? Please let me know since I have a Nokia.
To sherwood:
-Sony ericsson can play 3D games
-Sony ericsson can use MP3 as ringtones--> better than just the normal polyphonic midi ringtones
-it is guaranteed 100% the quality is as good as nokia, and i actually more satisfied with sony ericsson-->i use both nokia and sony ericsson.
-If you still suspicious, why don't you buy one?
I found that the new nokia fones are trying really hard to develop a good quality fone, but really, for me K750 satisfied everything that i need: fantastic camera and very good mp3 player, good memory, good fone, i like the torch, keypad, design
(basically everything is a feature for me :), something that nokia will not be able to do for me, no matter how hard they try coz i hate nokia design lately... i prefer their old mobile design--- 3310, 8250, 8910, 6600, 6100, 6800 are the best nokia design others are piece of junks for me, including N92 and their fashion fone)
P.S: The mp3 quality of this fone is better than Ipod nano and almost equal to Ipod mini.

Another question plz: how can I update my firmware of the phone? Will I lose my data while doing this? And can I do it by myself? Or should I go to an expert to do it?
Please answer this question coz I got a problem with my bluetooth so I think that updating the firmare will resolve the problem maybe…

Is there a way you can change the way you type SMSes to the Nokia way? I don't like the stupid menu that appears on the right corner and also the big listbox with word matches that appears on the middle of the screen when using predictive text. Also can the annoying "Word not in dictionary" function be turned off when typing SMSes?

Inquisitor - let me be as simple and calm.
You do have unlimited video recording in this phone.. just read your manual and some posts down where people have explained how to get into that MODE.
and you know what?? you also have a keypad.. on which you can type your phone numbers and actually dial them.. to reach other person's cellphone. Then oh .. there has been one revolution.. you can now send text!!! called SMS!
Also you have these displays these days.. on which you can see things going around.. Microcontrollers chap! they rule now a days..
and also.. you have the antenna built in!!!!!!!!!!!!!

does this has any limitation on video recorder?
all the ericsson phones dont have any limit but the available memory,
why this time sould be another case?

The only problem that the display isn't fit properly. So, can get easily scratched. So.. you should be really very careful in this case. Should cover it with proper protective sticker.

This is a phone where the only thing you can't do is wash your clothes in it coz it does not have the waching machine in it. Also, you can't keep the jelly to set inside it.. as it ain't got no refridgerator inside. Everything else is possible. Don't worry.. go ahead.

You CAN'T set a password to your phone or memory card except those you insert whenever the phone is turned on for the phone -if set- and SIM -if set-, but once it's on you can't set a password, there is no option to do so in the phone software. Though you can still search for any additional software which will allow you to set a password for the phone whenever it enters the stand-by mode and I guess you may find one but I'm not sure. However, you just keep backing up your content in your pc and have only the very needed content in it while hanging out.

Have you read ashwin post ?? He did record 17 minutes, so where is the 14 minutes limit in his device ?? Have you read the manual ?? where is the time limiter in the Sound recorder page ?? I can't find it myself, if you know where it is in the manual just tell me the page number.
I'm sorry but I'm only sensitive to people who says wrong informations about things that have been already confirmed. Give me a break guys.

This phone doesn't supprt 3G so I'm not sure that it'll accept a 3G sim card or not. even if it did accept one and worked with it, it will remain a 2G phone for it's software isn't made for sending/receiving video calls. Wait for W900 as it supprots 3G and has all K750 features.

there is no way u can lock ur memory card
the only way for u to keep ur privacy is to take it out when ever u are not with ur phone
as for the adoul say about time limit for voice memor ... there is ... 14mins max

Glad you made up your mind finally, as for the shutter sound, it differs from country to country, as I said before some countries just too sensitive to privacy laws while others aren't. If the firmware includes something like EU_1 then you can mute the shutter, maybe EU_3 too can mute the shutter with -though not sure about it- but other than than it won't be muted. In fact K750i shutter sound isn't as bad as K700i was, you can live with it.

We aren't gonna start an argument between Nokia and SE here. If you're a Nokia fan then just stick with it and don't try to lessen any other brand cause it'll be kinda childish of you to do so.
