Go to this page http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=ae&lc=en&ver=4000&template=ps1&zone=ps&lm=ps1&pid=10242, you'll find links named WAP, E-Mail and MMS click each one and enter your mobile number in the page that will open, the company will send you some package to the phone via SMS just install all of them then call your service provider and tell him you want to subscribe for the wap service and ask him how to use your e-mail through the mobile cause it's kinda complicated to do alone.

If you were following this forum you'de have found that particular question been asked by someone and you'de get your desired answer, anyhow the answer is no till the latest firmware they currently publishing, you can set the phone to lock its keybad in stand-by mode or not activating the keylock at all but no availability to use any passwords to unlock the keylock.

Well glad that you've finally solved your problem, well that's not a solution but only bypassing but the end result is you having your desired songs into your phone. I believe that's the best way to transfer into the phone because copying the files from the memory stick to the internal memory takes less time than transferring to the internal memory directly. I only transfer to the memory stick myself and copy to the internal memory through the phone move selected files/folders method if needed and wanted to tell you that but I wanted to help you get through your prob 1st then tell you the faster way which you discovered by yourself ;).
For the video recording issue, yaa I believe myself that video recording will be a mess if done using less then 5 m.pixels cybershot, but take nokia 7610 -an old nokia with only one m.pixel camera- it captures the viedo with a bigger resolution, kinda shame for K750i, That's my point.

I have uninstall everything b4 u repiled me. However, ur method to save files to Memory card is DEfinitely no prob...except to save it directly to phone. I'd transferred the song to memory then only copy to my phone if i want. No problem wz the file conversion by I-Tunes....
Regarding the firmware upgrade, i agree wz Pinak dun upgrade unless otherwise. Now i'm trying to search for the info to minimise the PIXELATED occurs to the video recording..some says the brightness...some says the recording movement...whatsoever, i think better buy the Digicam...hahaha :)

Thanks for the that. your reply was far more complicated that what i wanted to know.
To simplify my question all I wanted to know is: if it is available on the latest firmware (or is it possible) to have the phone lock with security code (pass code) while the phone automatically sets on stand-by mode (keypad lock). Well, even my P910i has it. It was also the same concern of Freak I supposed.
Anyway, thanks for the nagging reply about espionage. It's all US's dung anyway.

better in what man ?? if asking about the features you can read each one specifications then make up your mind after, and if asking about the performance then your question syntax isn't correct. Just read couple of pages in this forum and in 6680 forum then follow your feeling.

1st time to hear about that problem but it's clearly an old software bug. Have you upgraded the firmware yet ?? As for the missing option I actually find it a plus to have my sent messages saved, but it's not that hard to go and delete it manually if you don't want it to be saved.

Yaa you can record the running calls and to save you the question you can record as long as the memory has free space for the recording takes place on the memroy stick not the internal memory.
Yes the K750i can accept additionl software to be installed on it, I know arabian site that has plenty of them if you can read arabic I can forward it to you but if not just google for it and I'm sure you'll find lots of apps. that can be used on k750i.

I'm sure you've read each mobile specifications, froums and user opinions. Each campaign will try to tease you to by his device, so the call is yours to buy the one which attracts you the most due to your desired features. Need camera & multimedia + phone go for K750i, but if need office and other applications + phone go for 6230i.
Just make the right choice according to your needs, don't buy one for its fame then curse it because you found it don't match your needs forgetting that it was your call and choice at the 1st place.

No I transfer MP3's to me device without any trouples. For your problem, as I said before just unistall the driver and software of the phone then reinstall it then download and install the USB driver Update Service found in sonyericsson web site. Read my posting addressed to Pipi down this page to know how to install that update.

Has anyone had any problems transferring MP3 files to their phones? I used a free programme IMTooWMA to convert files to MP3 and it worked happily for a few tracks but now says half way through the transfer that "the file type is not allowed in the destination folder". Huh?

it hangs up when deleting sent messages and there is no option to prevent saving sent messages

I forgot to answer the main question of Unknown. The joystick is so fine till now, very handy, easy to use, soft and very durable.

As I always say "NOTHING is perfect, lots are normal, and only few are ALMOST complete". K750i is from the last type, almost a complete phone, but because nothing is perfect it has -as ANY other mobile out there- some minor faults mmmm or let me say dislikes -yaa I think that's the correct description- as maybe what I don't like other will like but we'll both end very satisfied with this very unique model. To cut to the chase, what I don't like in this mobile are 2 things which are:
1- The low resolution of video capturing which was with older firmwares a nightmare due to poorer quality than now -the recent firmware improve the quality by raising the bit rate (frames per second) a lot- but still the low resolution remains.
2- If having lots of missed calls from the same contact, it stores the number of missed calls but only stores the time & date of the very last one -could be of no problems at all to others-.
It do something maybe some won't like at all but I can coexist with which is the message alarm, it only peeps once you receive a message, well the indicator icon stays on the screen as long as you may leave the mobile but the peep sounds only one time. That's all for me but other than that, lots has said perfect so I won't repeaat it, lots has said superb so I'm not useing that either, so you get what I mean ??

1st after converting using iTunes the converted file has the extension .m4p have you renamed it to mp4 ?? if done so have you checked your free memory ?? you say you only see the phone memory and that's normal cause when the phone is connected to the pc the memory became in use from the pc so the phone can't access it but just right click on its icon -the Removable Disk icon- and click properties, it will show you the memory status -how much free and how much used-. For your initial error I suggest uninstalling the PC Suite and reinstall it with the D750, K750,W800 Update Service USb Driver found in sonyericsson site -to install that after downloading it, close the phone then press and hold C key then plug the USB cable, find new hardware window should be opened now just make it point to the downloaded folder destination-.
It happens sometimes to have some unstable programs that were just working fine the day before, blame the OS ;).

I agree with Pinak not to update as long as you're satisfied with it but I will always believe in the principle of trying with a possibility to have some errors is a very good way to learn how to do things right later but I'll tell you what, if it's near you, just take it to SE Care as Pinak said.

The mp3 quality on the loud speakers is almost the same in the 2 sets but it sounds better in K750i headset's due to having a better one than of W800i.
Yes you can fast forward the videos as pictures message (MMS), as e-mail, via bluetooth and via IrDA.

Your questions seems to me very complicated and hard for any mobile software to achive so I'm sorry to tell you that the answer is no. You can only assign either silent or tunes -of any kind- as a messages -of any kind (SMS&MMS)- alarm, or of course you can mute it all if you set the current profile to silent mode.

Just uninstall all the software and drivers related to the phone then install it again. Simply after that plug-in the phone then try to touch and move the cable in miny directions -you know just as if trying to have the receiver targeted/aimd to the proper direction-, if still have the problem take your device to SE customer service in your area and let him check your device port.

Well faulty phones don't usually work FINE for whole 6 months -a record for a faulty phone!- so man maybe it's time for buying a new battary but I suggest to send it to
SE customer service to have it checked.
Sometimes elctronic devices which are made in china works just well for sometime then turns to only a dead piece of hardware.

Yes when receiving a call while listening to media player or radio the phone pauses the playback to allow you to take the call then automatically replay it when the call is ended.

As for the restarting issue, it's a known software bug which has been solved in recent firmwares.

Somethings just like to be alone, others don't. In your case, no you can't use anything while using the browser. On the other hand you can minimize almost all work-alone applications, for example the media player, and use another application along with it.

This is a direct question, does the Nokia N90 worth its price ?? Knowing that it has the same features SE K750i has + of much bigger size and much heavier than K750i ??
To know if it worth it or not just compare it with the price of a direct competitor that has the same features and qualities.
