Hi to everyone and thanks for all the useful exchanges here. My 5750 fell and the inner screen broke. Does anyone know what it might cost, in dollar figures, to replace it in Europe? I can't see anything on the screen.

        @ lei

the disadvantage of it is when you own a car charger, desk charger, speaker stand, headsets, car holder, usb cable back from your previous fon,k700... for all of those you need to buy it all again coz the k750 is using a different port......

            @ TecHsaVVy

a faster speed of the card will afect the reading of the fon but only when you browse the files stored in the card... but the spped of the card will not take efect to the whole reading on the fon.

              To Vince and others
Some lugs bother me too-my idea is to install Sony HIGH SPEED card-80 kb/sec, so far i`ve seen it of 1 GB, I`m not sure there are high speed card with less memory. And there are a little more expensive then Sandisk cards. I`m sure that it will improve the speed the phone works with the memory card. I`m not going to do that though as I don`t wanna make investments for the phone that I`m not sure will stay with me for very long.

you already talk to the service provider... so i guess you try to upgrade the fon onto to its latest version for it to accept tghe new settings for gprs and mms settings...

Quote-" SO IF ur operator transmit an 850 signal this does not mean that the k750 has disadvantages because it is clearly known to all of us that the k750 is a tri band phone and this is considered as one of the phone identity and characteristics NOT disadvantages."
When I said that I was upset with the signal strength, and that the phone is loosing on that to Nokia (I tried 7260) I meant how it works on GSM 1900Mhz. It`s probably not available in your country but anywa the Nokia phone had the same tri-band frequency,a european model-I got it for my girlfriend who lives in Europe in a 900Mhz zone.So at the same condition Nokia won on the ability to talk when they hear you well on the other end, SE K750i-you speak and it`s breaking up bad-the way they hear you.
Maybe it works much better on 900Mhz, I will have a chance to test it in a 900Mhz zone in a couple of weeks-I`m going home for vacation.

You need proper settings for your GPRS.
Go to SE site and follow their instructions-they will send you settings.

                      To KAMRAN and others:
When I asked about assigning a ringtone to a contact that was not what you thought. My question is: Is there an option to assign a certain ringtone to No-ID calls, and everytime you get a call with no ID you hear the same ringtone and know-It`s anonymous. I don`t think such option is available in the phone.
P.S. It was available in my Sprint Sanyo 8200. A very useful feature

                          To KAMRAN
Now I gotta tell you something that slipped my mind last time about flaws of the phone but bothers me a lot, and that`s very obvious, READY?!!!: This phone is very slow on detecting the signal, the sensitivity of the antenna is radiculous. Just make an experiment: you`ve probably already done it many times since you own it: place it where the signal is not available and then right after put it back out. It takes it almost a minute sometimes to show me that it has all six bars of signal, before that you can`t use it as a phone? Isn`t it radiculous? If you have a chance to compare it with Nokia you`ll be frustrated man.
And please don`t get me wrong-I`m not trying to make fun of this phone, if we start talking about other phones they will not look competitive at all compared to this one.
If all these messages will get to the phone makers there is a slight chance that one day in the future we will enjoy the phone with the same quality features or even better along with all the disadvantages corrected, which some call PERFECT PHONE. Is it available now? I don`t think so.

Quote-" Do not forget that you got a phone with magnificent camera & music function in a highly reasonble PRICE & half the SIZE of the other phones with the same capability."
                            My quote:
"Of course I can make a long list of advantages of this phone-a lot of reasons why I own it,..."Remember I said that. As for whether I knew or not about its tri-band disadvantage, then I must admit before I got it I didn`t think about it, and It didn`t come to my mind that Cingular has improved its signal strength, that was obvious to me, by adding 850 Mhz frequency.
Right now at this point I mostly appreciate this phone because of the excellent voice-calls-recording feature-that helps a lot. And along with its camera quality you simply can`t find a quad-band phone with the same features of the same quality. So I`m still with K750i.

"Being triband is not a disadvantage at all. Perhaps some people like you living in US & use AT&T or Cingular which are using 850, but a vast majority of people in the world or even people in US using T-Mobile do not care about that issue."-that`s not exactly true on T-Mobile part. Now they use 850 Mhz too and that means two out of two GSM companies in the US work best on 850 Mhz that`s not available in K750i-and the US is a huge market, do you agree?

                                2. Java virt. mach. is installed.

are you using a microsoft operating system? if you are... try to re-istall but dont attach the usb cable coz it might coz interference... if still doesnt work try to clean the system connector of your k750, it is where you inserted the charger... and if your using a MAC operating system try to down load a software application @ sony ericsson.com for your usb cable to be compatible with your MAC. and if still doesnt work try to upgrade the software of your k750, just bring it to the nearest authorized service center.... hope it helps...

ive had my phone for about 3-4 months now and i dont regret purchasing it at all. the only difference between the k750 and the w800 is that with the w800 you can listen to music while your phone is off, so if your in a plane you can still use your phone to listen to music. but then again, if you like the look of the k750 more, but you want w800 features, there are people that know how to change the phones software from the k750 to the w800.

got any other questions, feel free to ask.
