I have had my K750i flashed with the W800 software and i will tell you that it is deffinately worth the upgrade. W800's are going for up to $600us. I flashed mine off ebay for $25US and I bought the phone for $380US. You do the math. The phone works perfect.

Si70: u r correct w800i does not have all the software k750i has. K750i is mostly meant for pics and w800i is mostly meant as a walkman.
Senso: i dont think so SE will let u upgrade the firmware to w800i u might have to buy the firmwaret, or get it from other websites.

I have had this phone for a month, and I have now decided to revert back to my Nokia 6230. Some might think I'm mad, and I have to admit its a tough decision. Objective as I can be, its a personal preference of the simplicity of Nokia's interface that did it, sending text messages on this phone was so confusing and did my head in. Other points... Camera is very good quality but the autofocus is very slow, so slow you end up missing a lot of chance shots, which is what I love about cameraphones. To get a landscape shot you hold the phone horizontally and press a button on the side, much like a real compact camera- not nearly as discreet as the conventional method. I will miss the clarity, exposure compensation and ability to take the memory card out without switching it off. Other good points... battery is much better than the Nokia, I took 300 pictures, used the torch for about 30 minutes and made a few calls over a 3 day festival and there was still juice in it. Very good! Torch/flash is great, as is the ability to have a 1gb card... plenty of MP3's on the personal stereo. I'm writing this and now wondering if I really want to sell it!

I am struggling to record a video capture longer than 12 seconds! Is there a setting somewhere on the menu to extend the lenght of time in capture mode? Please help me im getting annoyed with the phone!!

EMA change it to high quality video and length will be unlimted (meaning your storage space capacity) or you can upgrade your firmware which will do that as well but only if you have problems with crashes and others.

hi all i am stuck between the w800 and the k750i and i dont know which one to go for ?
i also heard that the w800 is not equipped with the same applications that is on the k750(videoDJ-photoDJ-photoshop-hp print)and that it only comes with the music DJ and the CD ripping software.IS THAT TRUE :)

this phone costs 335 Euros in Bulgaria...I think in other countries in europe the prices are lower...

I purchased the K750i on July 1st and by July 31st, I had it sent to the SonyE's Service center in Singapore. Lady at the counter tells me that it was a software crash. I am collecting it tomorrow. Anybody has had this issues?

I bought a k750i(Non-branded) (Aust stock) off ebay for $540+$15registerd mail.
Also got a 1g sony pro duo for $170+$4express postage.
The stores here charge stupid prices. Seen $799+
Best money spent!

the w800i=540euro
but do't bee stupid!!
if you put the firmware of a w800i on to an k750i you will have a w800i whit the beter look of an k750i!!!
