The shutter nosie should be able to be turned off by having the silent profile on also can be turned onto silent wia holding down the "HASH" key or selecting "meeting mode"
Sopor: I don't even have the phone! Just know a lot when working for SE. So no I havn't updated the firmware! That is my only problem with answering questions, some I cannot answer as I do not have the phone!
The N91 is quite a good phone as it ha standard headphone jack and does have symbian plus edge but isn't that nice looking and doesn't have all that many features plus no memory card slot and weighs a lot more plus all the other comments made and of course it isn't out yet but N91 is a good phone! But K750 still good, depends what you want really! Someone did make a comment about K750 being upgraded to 4GB for a memory card but that is just a rumour and isn't really going to happen now I don't think!
Anand: To your first question about converting the files, it may just be the converter you are using but you can't use any other format as the phone only supports Mpeg4 and 3GP but if you mean you don't want it on your phone why change it into 3GP? If you want to make the file size smaller, either compress it with Winzip I think you can do ti with or just use a nother converter to put into 3GP as something may be wrong or soemthing!
To your 2nd question I have heard one person can update the K750 firmware to the W800 firmware but I doubt it as the W800 isn't out yet and wouldn't happen that quickly and probably a scam as I heard from oen you ahd to pay for it to have it done so yeah I think just a scam and a rumour!
and to your 3rd question here are some downlaods for your phone etc themes, games!
Firmware is what runs your phone and is what on your phone and people can update the firmware which jsut updates the erros and bugs and changes the firmware to make it betetr from SE! You can update the firmware at: http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=gb&lc=en&ver=4000&template=ps1_1_5_7&zone=ps&lm=ps1_1&pid=10242 and follow the instructions! To do this for your own country or lauguage do the same as I did but for your country! Go to support, type K750, go to "More" on the side menu and clcik "Sony Ericsson Update Service"

some countries do not have that safety control of shutter sounds...so maybe upgrading with a firmware of one of those countries will be able to turn off the shutter sound...
just an idea...don't know if it really working

Most phones are made in China nowadays no matter what price or make.
This K750i is a nice phone with a lot of usable features.
Forget about Nokia phones ... their phones are OUT !!!

I bought this SE-K750i from a Sony shop in Hongkong. Just wondering how could I turn off the camera shutter sound. I have followed most of the suggestions in this forum to switch on the silent mode, but the sound didn't go off. Any good suggestion is appreciated.

indeed no mistakes for k750i, in Romania the phone cost 340euro if you make a contract! I want to know if he has good quality when he makes mouvie? is better than D500 at video-clips?? i think so because he has an 2MP camera! Please tell me guys,,,sorry about my language!

Yes the N91 has Symbian, so what? I can program my own Java applications and upload them to my K750i.
The N91 has a 4gb HDD, and the K750i can support a 2gb mem card, with later firmware upgrades it will be able to handle 4gb.
The N91 has the same features, it looks f*cking ugly and hasnt even been released yet.
Why is it better again ?

when you people wanna take pictures without the shutter sound...just enable to phone to silent mode...then you will have no sound when taken picture...but why does that all bother you ???

hey guys, why r u excited?!! it's just a very normal phone, if u really wanna get excited just go to NOKIA N91. SE K750 is not a symbyan based, IT IS JUST BEAUTIFUL, AND IS LIKE A BASIC TOY.

1.A query on the video playback support.
when i convert the mpeg into 3gp or MP4 the clearity of the video becomes bad and the sound and the video skips when played.do u think is there any other format that can be used and if yes which one? coz i am tryin to convert the song videos and put them on phone.
2. Is it possible to convert the K750 into W800. by upgrading the software or is it just a rumour?
3.any site for any upgrades or applications for K750 and themes?

Can you remove the sound in this phone when taking pictures? Cause the k500i and k700i's camera sounds can't be removed..

HM!!! This is really really nice phone.when i typing this msg to you all guys,i am listening to this phone's mp3 player,NICE SOUND! LOUD AND CLEAR CRYSTAL SOUND I EVER HAD! CLEAREST PICTURE! ALL NICE! Bt in Malaysia (p/s i am malaysian lar) THis phone is quite not cheap.coz it needs cost about US420 to buy this phone! BT anyway, nice phone will worth for this price. Guys! An aac player just means it supports the AAC format for songs etc or is it videos but basickly jsut that it supports that format!

I have this phone and it works perfectly.
Excellent camera, reception and easy to use.
For those who are not satisfied even with this phone and wants a better digital camera phone , I suggest that you look for DV1 by Xcute.
