it's so strange to compare the excellent display of k800i to that of n73..
people do u know that k800i has one of the best display whorld wide.. do u know it is better than most of those displays of 16 millions colors of nokia? as those always lack the great contrast & brightness of k800i.. k800i has also very wide viewing angle & excellent legibility under sun.. more over it has a specific feature that rarely seen in other phones" its colors are very accurate u dont see the orange tint that dominate in most of nokia 16 millions colors display.. finally my friend i will give u very nice advice about joyestick: try not to push it in.. use it up down right left but not in... instead use the left selection key this will prolong its life.. not make it got access to dust nor moisture & that's it.. k800i is the best phone in the world ..

    That's not normal for a new fone with a new battery.see if you can still have it replace since it was not even a week since you purchased it

      I only had this phone for less than a week now. I reduced the screen brightness to 50% before and bluetooth is always off.

        that's a big problem man.your battery must have a defect.you were asking how to increase battery life? you can prolong the stand by time if you'll drop the brightness to 50% but to increase the battery life? are you thinking of downloading a new version or a software so you can do that? i guess the problem is the hardware so replacement of your battery is the solution.

          I have a problem with the battery. After charging it overnight and leaving it on standby for 7 hours, the battery drops 7%. Does anyone know how to increase the battery life?

            @walaa

            i have used both K800 and N73. K800 has smaller screen with 256k colors while N73
            has bigger screen and also 256K colors.i dont know but for me K800s' screen is much clear than N73.in terms of design i guess it's a tie.N73 has two speakers which makes it obviously on top of K800 when it comes to louder volume but i suppose you have to hear them playing for you to know which is first when it comes to sound quality.for me its a tie.K800 doesnt have TrackID music recognition so that means you need to manually search for the song if you wanna play it, and that will be a little inconvenient if you got hundreds of songs on your playlist.how you manage your playlist for easier use could lessen that inconvinience though.N73 music edition has TrackID music recognition.

            K800s' camera is superb,its xenon flash is really far better that N73.im disappointed with N73,though you can take pictures on the front camera the picture quality is a real disaster that you would not use it again.for me K800 is the clear winner in camera performance. for more details you can check GSM ARENAs' review @ http://www.gsmarena.com/kg920_k800_n73_photo-review-125.php

            Document viewer, a real plus for N73.

            Video recording of N73,one level higher than K800.

            K800s' battery life is so much better than my N73.

            K800 is cheaper.

            k800 was awarded Best 3GSM Device last year 2007.

            walaa, i have posted what i "presume" would be helpful for your decision in which to buy.i dont know what your priorities are and what you need in a fone but for your information the last time i had to sell my stuff due to financial crisis i kept my k800 and i sold my n73.

            i think you really need to test the fone first and for you to see the difference.

              the problem of your fone cannot be fix by simply pressing on anything,anywhere in your fone. so i suggest that you visit SE service center nearest to your place
              before it's too late.

                        when you use the mp3 player of your k800 at the left side you can see play/stop menu and at the right you can see "more". press more and you'll see settings,file, and minimize.press settings and you'll see play mode,equalizer, and stereo widening.press equalizer then you can see "preset".by selecting preset you can manually change the sound settings with your desired sound quality and volume.

                                Among 3G phones with the same specs, this is probably the best value.

                                You don't need those symbian stuffs to do smart things a cellphone could do. K800i is all u need. Everything works fine with this phone, YahooGo, Gmail, RSS Feed, music player, camera. For amazing browsing experience, simply add Opera browser, and ur K800i will surely compete those expensive symbian based phones.

                                For this specs' market segment, who needs mobile office anyway? i also doubt that u guys use PTT in ur phone menu.

                                    Probably what we only have is the volume settings in the mp3 player.

                                      @Please help me

                                      FYI friend the sim card and the fone should be registered both for GPRS that's the reason why GPRS on your new K800i did not work when you put your old sim card.again,im gonna remind you that GPRS browsing is not a free service so you should have sufficient balance when your going to use it.

                                      Tell the operator you upgraded your fone and would like to have another GPRS settings.you said you already did that.there are possibilities that the operator misunderstood you and sent you the wrong settings or he/she misunderstood that you upgraded your fone and as result GPRS on your fone is not working.

                                      Final suggestion is to visit one of your networks' business center and ask for assistance in manual activation.
