I am using k790i. When using video mode the extension file name is 3GP. Is it possible to upgrade into mp4 format? because MP4 format is much clearer than 3GP. Is there any software to my mobile which can record that in mp4 directly than to 3gp. Please do let me known if any. Mail ur opinion to my id "ravi.avr@gmail.com".

hi I want to buy k790i but i am not sure about its net capability.
1)Can we compose and attach files from card memory?
2)Can we download attachment on phone/card memory(.doc,. excel,.pdf) and view them on phone?

is it possible to take picture or record videos with the video call camera (the camera in the front) of the sony ericsson k800?
in my country (bangladesh) i dont have 3g support. so no video calls. however i do wanna buy a SE K800 if it can take pics with its VGA camera in the front. otherwise, i will go for the k790i.
pls let me know.

K800 doesn't offer flash for VDO recording-I got mind since it first released. Good damn phone but joystick tend to hurt my thumb and fingers- I hate the camera cover! sony stupid designe- they should conceal it.

no, there's no suite for SE phone to edit sounds, sorry... BUT it allow you to use your choice of msg sound ;)

I am thinking about Nokia N73 which has OS Symbian 9.x but I don't know which OS is for K800.

I was using nokia smart phones for more than 10 years until January 2006 I swiched to Samsung which I found better than Nokia. November 2006 I got sony Ericsson Z710 which its software same K800i except the camera. I was amazed with its ability. It is much faster than nokia. It is a multi tasking which means you can run 3 java applications at the same time. You can install many java applications like oxford dictionery, compass, moby explorer, mobytoday, Quran or bible, games plus so may many types of applications. You can read and zoom Txt files through the browser. You can read word and excel documents after saving them as.htm format and send them to the phone. It reads almost all format of music files. This more than the smart phone can do. you can also read and write txt. through mobyExplorer application. The best thing I found in SonyEricsson is the massage are three types ( SMS, Picture, Voice ) the voice message is the best fot those whom they hate writing like me. After discovering SE great features I upgraded my phone to K800i and I am very happy with it. It is really great phone.

this phone is NOT a good phone yes the camare is good but come on battery ??
buttens?? and screen keep going hate it get somthink better then this evey one love ben :-)

Hi I am thinking about switching to this phone from Nokia 6280 as the 2MP camera on it is the worst i have ever used on any phone. Can you please confirm if there is a sound editing option on the PC Suite you get with the SE??
I prefer to make my own mp3 ringtones etc using the phones software and Nokia do not offer this feature with their PC Suite yet all my old Sharp, Motorola and Samsung phones did.
Also does this phone allow you to use your own message tones ie. allow to assign mp3 tones to message tones???
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I got my SEk800i phone last month. This is my first ever sony ericson phone. I was impress by the quality of the camera especially with the xenon flash. I got a question, can anyone help me save msgs to my memory card? how do i create folders for the messages. help pls. thanx!

The K800 is one of sony's best phones yet 3.2 mp, flash is good so is the best pic option. i sell heaps of these every day the are a real winner.

i has been using the sonyericsson k800, it very nice product, and the camara 3.2mp is very clear, fast. actually i'm quite happy with it, but i'm very disappointed with the application( the speaker). i've just want to suggest the company to have the plug with the speaker during we listening to music we can charging it.thank you

hi, can anyone help.
when using the joystick to move down it sometimes doesnt do this and 'selects' instead which means i end up sending blank or unfinished text messages.

I keep forgetting to lock the keys on the phone and it goes onto WAP when its in my pocket. Can anyone tell me how to fix the WAP settings so this doesn't happen?

I just got my sek800i last week and I can say that it's a great phone. Considering the price, the aesthetic, the camera, resolution and sounds is very good and amazing.
