to get R1ED001 u can do it manualy by instaling update service phone software available for free in sonyericsson.com it'll provide u the R1ED001 software. R1EJ001 only available in crtain area only

when i take pics with the xenon flash..sometimes the pictures come out with some sort of bules..tell me what i did wrong or what should i do
what shud u do just tell me more specific like u take d photo in daylite or night time? is it close up photos or normal photos? etc etc..,
n what dya mean by bules? was it blues or bubles? or bulls. thx

latest software clarification.
there r 2 version of latest version. in sum regions the latest version will b R1ED001 when the rest has R1EJ001. so if ur software R1ED001 n they told u thats d latest1 they'r rite.
Is there any improvements? Maybe the sms tone is longer or anything? yes of course remember before in USB connections there'll be 2 options like FILE TRANSFER & USE WITH PHONE. after u get R1ED001 u get 1 extra PRINT option. 1 thing for sure upgrading ur software will upgrading the speed of ur phone in reading every files n programs. use JBENCHMARK app. to try this.
anyhow my K800i can play 1 song of MP3's. FULL SONG.

Vibration's very weak... you can't even hear the sound of the vibration to begin with. Could the reason be to 'protect' the camera components? (just a guess)
nice guess i spoke with 1 local SE technician & he told me that it is to protec d cam components since its 3.2mp. why nokia 3.2mp got better vibrate? simply he told me "do they hav CYBERSHOT?"

the phone only play WAV music files but not WAV video. perfect video quality if its in MPEG files.
last weekend i went to the beach & take some nice photos with the sun right behind d ppl. perfect result when i used BEACH/SNOW option & SPORT option with infinite focus. with ur lil dark photos, its time for u to use edit in PHOTO DJ's option. set d contras, brightness, color etc., then u'll be proud of ur X-lil dark pictures. :)

the new software that i would get from sony ericsson service centre, what's the improvement from the old software? My old software is the R1ED001. I am going to get my phone back tmr. Is there any improvements? Maybe the sms tone is longer or anything?

Camera: The anti blur feature is really neat. Shook my hands deliberately when taking a pic and wallah, perfect clear picture :) That's one major improvement to phone cameras.

Joystick feels nice to handle; not too stiff, not to loose. Responds well and so far no problems with it at all - even when I use it vigorously when playing games.
Display is beautiful! excellent! your eyes will definately approve of it :)
so far there are no glitches, no hangs, no errors, no white screens and so on. Very well behaved phone hehe (with the latest firmware)
only thing abit disappointed abt this phone is the video recording quality...

1st" i guess the phone play wav MUSIC files..but does it play wav VEDIO files?
2nd: i love taking pics with it..it is a digital camera witha aphone( not vice versa)...now..sometimes wheni take pictures with the sun behined the ppl..the pic get alil dark...
can u explain .if that is npt a much trouble...
what is the perfect situation to taking pics and what is the setting should be on..

the video is crap and the pic quality aint very good in dim light
nokia n73 is buch betta
i dont kno who's this but 1st. ur rite, the video not as good as N73. but when u said pic. quality bad in dim light, ur absolutely wrong. cos theres an option such as "twilight potrait" where u can take a perfect pic in dim lite. appears to me u never try d fone, let me guess, currently ur using N73 n disappointed wid d cam result. so ur tryin to convince ppl to choose N73 then ur not alone whos sorrying ur choice, am i not rite? :)
guys if u all compare d pic result from one of this site session such as "N73vssamsungD900vsSEk800:photo samples" or "Nokia N80vsSony ericsson k800:3megapixel shootout" u may find d K800i pic quality not very good. why? cos at that time they'r using the BETA version of K800i. im using both fone, N73&K8, pic quality of K800i leads d way.
