i juss got this phone last week, and i love it. sure, there may be faults w/ it here and there, but nothing's perfect. for people whose phone turns off by itself, it's probably your battery overheating, so get it checked. the K800 is a beautiful phone, and the camera is amazing! worth every penny!

Basically uve not been taking care of ure phone man... dont blame the company for that...
Its just like when u buy a car... u scratch it... Will u blame the dealer? Come on man... Use ur head....
I have been suing the phone for almost 4 months already and i have never ever had any issue with it... Updated the phone on SEUS - and the bugs are fixed... No scratches at all coz im TAKING CARE of it... im not using a crystal case and its still like brand new... Accidentally fell about 3 times already and still working beautifully...
So think before u blabber about things...

i think its not good phone afterall.corrode easlit i guess.
i bought it on 25 aug, and now 27th oct, the phone is spoilt. lol. i cant hear the other part when i called them vice versa. it worked perfectly fine with speaker and hear set.
sent it for service and the person told me that the handphone K800i had a liquid corrosion. the corrosion was at the top of the phone, according to him, he told me that some kind of liquid might have gotten into it.
i was so angry and surprised at the same time that my phone actualy corrode. i only bought it for less than two mths. i protectd it and even bought protective casing for the phone. lol.
I'll never buy SE phone again.

This is a fone to have wen talking about picture quality, video quality,and camera shut. if you have a laptop download MPEG to 3gp software and convert any video to 3gp then send it to your fone it is then you will appreciate the fone better. It is a fone to have for pix and video, the video,
stebilizer is nothing to compare with any fone for now. I do not have any problem with my SE K800. redeye defect is perfect.

Does anyone know when the next Firmware Update will be on SEUS? I currenty have the latest R3ED*** update and seen a new update on Wotonserver but I would rather not void my warranty.

hello SE users and SE company i suggest you change your name not your logo i suggested name...."Perph" the meaning is Per for perfect and Ph for phone when you combine it "THE PERFECT PHONES" cute name for me you change your very long name SONY ERICSSON to PERPH to little your name........ :) if it is ok to you SONY ERICSSON.........;)

S60 is only good due to the applications: it means flexibility is better than K800, but S60 Symbian is a very buggy OS,. admit it or not. that's true as i experience. fixing bugs between a non-os phone is easier than fixing bugs on an OS phone lie N73.. you can guarantee a more bug free operation on a java device than a symbian device after firmware has been upgraded... (note that when these two were newly released in the market, K800 got a clock bug, but N73 got several bugs and Hangs,Freezes and shut downs..)

who want's to know which phone is better k800i or n73 i'll tell what's better of course im in this section's to put down k800i but i do like the xenon flash but any k8000i vs nokia n73 do the math symbian based vs java base 3.2 and 3.2 both flash and both radio but have everything else but here is my question to you you cant do jack with k800i but take pics and play video games but nokia s60v3 the possibillities are unless it's your move but i choosed n73 and i never regret it recent se k750i regards sorry but i just think nokia has a better build as of right now

the phone will record in 3gp format. You will need to convert it first on ur PC by using a video converter like ImToo. Convert it to AVI or MPEGAV and it should play.

I am still wondering whether I should upgrade from K750i to K800i or switch to nokia and get N73 instead. Pls help me with my concerns.
1.) I find that the charger bundled with sony erricsson models dont last that long. Although I must admit that there are times when I overpull them, I still find the chargers bundled with nokia are more durable (i have used N3650 before i switched to ericsson). Nevertheless, have there been improvements with charger bundled with the k800??
2.) I find that the 'grouping' feature of the k750i very limited. It can only create 10 groups with a maximum of 15 members per group. Has this limitation been adressed on the k800i?
3.) I want my new phone to have satisfactory multitasking capabilities. This is my problem with the k750i because whenever I send group messages (which I do often by the way), I had to wait till my phone finishes sending the message to all group members before I can open other functions (such as opening the inbox, playing games, etc).
5.) Are the multishots using the bestpic trademark clear and sharp? I notice that whenever I use the multishot feature of my k750i, the shots in between end up blurry. Is there any website that have sample pictures of such setting?
6.) I understand that it says on the review that image stabilization is only for video recording mode. Is this really not incorporated when taking pictures? Stabilization is also one problem I noticed with the k750i. A very slight movement causes my shots to end up fuzzy.
7.) I am sorry If sound funny because I demand so much from the K800i, knowing that it only supports an integrated camera -- which are meant for occasional shooting only. Nevertheless, I feel that I am only being reasonable since SE markets the k800i's camera so much.
8.) Finally, is there any news if erricson would be releasing a fone with higher than 3 megapixel resolution, because if it does, ill just wait for that fone to become available. I really find very minimal difference between the k750 and the k800.

mate just picked up my k800 today and have never been happier, recent owner of the samsung d600, th0ught it was fantastic and still do but the functions and just that lil bit better. camera is blowing my mind away been testing in different lighting and it comes out picture perfect everytime excuse the pun. please any1 who is thinking about it...just do it, u wont be disappointed

Wat is up with people asking if they can take a pic from the secondary camera??? It has a 3.2 megapixel with xenon flash for cryin out LOUD!!! Why the need to take a self-pic from a VGA secondasry camera?!??
Also, to those who wants themes and games you can check it out at www.mobile9.com or google it! Thats how i got my 137 free java games for my K800i :P Only install 3 games though...still haven't got my 1GB yet :(
And someone with faults mentioned...try updating it's firmware. Mine is R1ED001, it's the latest and i have no problem with it! If you guys still have the problem? Return it! It's proly one of those faulty ones, it SUX, but what the hey!
Lastly, if u want to turn off voicemail (for longer ring) go menu>setting>calls>divert calls>deactivate all! But then i turn on 'just' the 'when busy' So when some pesky callers contact you...just hit busy and they will go to voicemail! ;) Hope this help Y'all folks! Laters!!

hai SE users, can anybody tell me about how to copy the video file from K 800i to on a VCD. the problem iam facing is the software
it is saving in GPP (Quick time) but when we need to copy in CD it has to be in MPEGAV format.. pls help me out.. urgent..

garry i have also expierienced some of these problems i havent had the charger one but my sound has just not worked some times and my fone just tends to go off sometimes + it isnt a glitch in the battery that makes it go off its the battery over heating itself.but all these problems aside it is still an awsome fone and im proad to own one
