Thanks Owen :)

Im still weighing up the pros/cons of switching phones. i love my D600. I think the main thing that is stopping me is the joystick on the k800i....
has anyone had any problems with it yet or with any SE joysticks in the past???

Thanks,
Brie

Hi, after being a sony ericsson purchaser since the days of the T68i i am considering purchasing the Nokia N73. Can any owners of this K800i offer any suggestions why i'd be better off with it instead (apart from the proper flash which at the moment is the only thing i can think of in SE's favour!) Help!

I seel phones for 2 years. When I recieve this phone in my store..I can say:
          Incredible camera!!
But..the firmware is too new..it restarted it self; and is kinf of slow. The joystick I'm not sure is safe.

Had the Samsung D900 for a week after being an SE K750i user for the last year. Hated it. Changed to the SE K800i as fast as I could. So much better that the Samsung D900, and more exciting that the Nokia N73. The Camera is amazing, especially with the proper flash. Plays all the music formats I've tried so far, MP3, WMA, M4P. Support Themes again. Little tweeks to the K750i software, all for the better. Great screen too. Battery life = great. Initial charge was two days ago, been playing non-stop on the Games, bluetooth, music, camers...etc. and it's still going, on 0% now though, so should go soon. All from the first charge!

I can honestly say I've had no problem yet with the camera shutter opening in my pocket. Yes, it is flimsy compared to the K750i shutter, but isn't always popping open. And yes, the M2 card are expensive, cheapest place is ebay, about £25 for 512mb, or £48 for 1GB. Well worth it though.

Don't delay, choose the K800i over the Samsung D900 or Nokia N73 today!

Seeing how the K800i is the best camera phone. I tried it today but notice something awefull. When you use dictionary mode in texting, can you turn off the annoying "The word is not in dictionary" screen that pops up everytime you misspell it. I like the nokia way where it is not shown. Also the "space bar" key of SE is the right most (the # button). Don't you find this more tiring for the thumb to press it rather than in the middle position (in the number 0) of nokia where it is more comfortable??

I really like the features on this phone but am still unsure wether to go back to SE phones after previous experiences. Has anyone changed from W800i to the K800 ? If so is the signal strength improved ? Really gets on my goat that SE produce probably the best handsets but for some reason they are unable to hold on to a signal as well as other brands. I really hope the K800 is different !

ALI ! What you mean no memory stick available in the market ? You can pick up a 1G card for under 40 quid. Bit more expensive than your average memory card I know !

the light cannot be switched on permanently as it only flash when taking picture.
K800i is using Xenon flash which emits light after carhing large amount of electrical current before it burst the light.
imagine if you turn it on permanently as it will continuously supply electrical charge just for the light to stay on.
it might be possible but might or will damage the Xenon flash and drain your battery.
this flash is the same technology used in real digital cameras.
unlike in other cellphones which are using LED light and can be switched on permanently.

the music player of k800i is almost the same with sony walkman phone, but no Mega Bass n cant play video! k800i has a seperate video player instead which are better than walkman. The video player can support more type of video, like real one media......
