@reefer

If you have never tried by yourself, you can't say that.
My advise is that you try by yourself (or maybe if your friends have it) both of them (N80 and K800).
And back to the basic is what actually you need for your handphone?
Smartphone?Camera quality?Music?sms?or battery life no problem for you?

If you have decided than you can choose the best phone for you.

i have had this fone about 3weeks & love it, invested in a 1gb card for £40, but found that i could still store around 70 3mp photos on the internal memory. there doesnt seem to be a lot of software designed for this yet, eg games, themes but that will all come along. one thing i have found is setting up the phone as a laptop modem can be difficult, but it is with most handsets.
all in all i recommend this phone for anyone who requires music, pictures, internet access (opera mini is a must!)

Sigh...why the micro memory stick??? It has a maximum memory capacity of only 1 GB currently!!! Also, why can't SE just include a LED lamp so the phone can act as an emergency lamp as well??? However, must agree that the camera function is excellent and the xenon flash is superb. Yet, its video recording function still has much room for improvement before it can match up with Nokia's N93.

Why have Sony Ericsson not included a memory card with the K800i box to get people using this mobiles funcions,i paid for a card an amazed at the size of it,its really small an could easily lose if its not lft in the mobile all the time, why couldn"t they use the normal memory cards they have on the k750i an the others to save people money an wasteing time searching for the cheapest cards available, the slider for the camera is easily removed an people will be turning the camera on with out people knowing its turned on,a lock should have been put on this to stop this happening

Some people asking what is the biggest MS2 stick you can use. 4GB, however since this type of memory is new on market i was able to find so far only 1GB SM2 for $80 on EBay.

Some people on this forum trying to compare Nokia N80 with k800i.
                  Here is my opinion.

                  Nokia issues:
I have it for 2 days before i sold it on EBay and got my self k800i

                  1. Bulky size (heavier)
                  2. Camera does not have cover.
                  3. Battery Dies fast 3 hours talking time and k800i 7 hours talking time.
                  5. I don't like Nokia interface or the way software made.

                  Sony Ericsson k800i
                  1. Amazing and beautiful all the way100%

                    I just switched from w800i to k800i

Phone is superior all the way. From the way it looks and feels and operates is just crazy amazing.
Can someone tell me if there option to turn on flash with out using camera like on k750 or w800i
And is there a way to access Bluetooth faster then to go to menu and access it through the phone settings?

                    Thank you in advance.

Best camera with real digicam flash and probably the best 3G camera in the world today... Sony Ericsson K800i.

Now I don't need to carry a phone and a separate digital camera even in the night. The k800i serves all my need.

I have the K800 & N80. K800 camera is superb and the feel is nice. Thats it really! N80's screen resolution is the best out of the two. N80 camera not up to scratch but video quality better than k800. In total N80 is better alround phone to own. SE fans get a grip. Both phones have there qualitys but the functionality and menu system on the N80 is far superior.

Can anyone tell me how to get games on the k800i ? I am addicted to the simple card game Freecell, and of course it isn't on this phone. I tried to copy it from the computer, but no joy... Help!

Well, this is the best phone available on the market today. Such good balanced, such great features, such great screen and camera. I can't see real competitor to this phone. K750 was the mark, but K800i now RULES!

Trying to deiced if I should get this one, I’ve had many phones by Se before, last one was k750. My hands are itching for this one really bad! Right now I have RazrV3x and honestly that was a big waist of my money, paid $700 when it just came out. I jumped on sharp v903sh because of 3mpxl camera, but got tiered of caring a red laptop in my pants. And what’s the deal with a memory, I know it’s hard to find, but what is the max can you put in?

Had the K800i since Tuesday - it is a terrific camera, sorry I mean phone! The camera is excellent especially the macro setting, really sharp close-up pix and look really clear on the PC unlike the Nokia N80 which I returned due to the lack of picture quality and the fact that it kept trying to connect to the internet?!
Don't find the sound quality as good the W810i and the lack of MegaBass is a shame. The headset that ships with the 800 is fairly basic and uncomfortable - why couldn't SE hav e bundled the same set as the 810i. No memory card! Nearly every other phone comes with a memory card. Mean old SE!!
Not sure whether to send it back and wait to see how Nokia N73/93 shape up or just go back to my trusty Nokia3650. Three years old this month!!

awesome phone, but is it normal for the cybershot loading screen to appear twice when opening the lens cover to use the camera. im guessing its just loading a bit longer sometimes. possibly fixable in the next firmware update?
