Is "firmware" one and the same as "software"? Is the software update offered in the Sony Ericsson site "the firmware" that people are talking about?

both w810 and k800 have mp3 player but w810 have Mega Bass technology(trademark of SE)k800 haven't.

RDS Radio
The Radio Data System (RDS) enables users to pre-select the operation of a frequency modulation (FM) broadcast receiver. Similar systems are used in other European countries and in the United States. An FM broadcast receiver equipped with RDS capability is sometimes called a "smart radio."
The RDS enables a radio listener to scan for a particular type of program -- for example, current affairs, science, or popular music -- without having to constantly manipulate the tuning dial. A listener who is traveling or commuting in a vehicle can arrange to have special traffic bulletins break into programs automatically, even if the traffic information is broadcast by a station other than the one the listener is tuned to at the moment. In fringe areas, where reception of a particular station is marginal, RDS allows the receiver to automatically tune to a stronger station if there is any such station running the same program at the same time. An RDS receiver can also be set to display brief text messages from broadcasters, and to periodically re-set the car clock to show the exact time.
Besides the user convenience, RDS can enhance driving safety, because it lets the driver pay attention to the road instead of to the radio controls.

What talking you? I think you did not own this K800i and pls do not condemn the phone. K800i has comes with a new type charger that you can charge the phone and at the same time plug in the handsfree. The new type charge got both front and back connector terminal.
This K800 easily best many real digital camera in term of photo quality not forgeting it has all the phone and connectivity functions.

Solid camera quality and superb cam flash..
If you are looking for a good camera phone, this is the phone..
If you are looking for a business orientated phone, go for nokia..
Depending what you want.. No right or wrong..

sony ericsson's got a big big problem!
bad BAD ergonomics..u cant connect the handsfree & charger at the same time.unlike nokia where u can connect the phones to the large speakers n charger simultaneously.that makes a merry time sound system man!

Please someone tell me, what is the diff b/w w810 and k800 in terms of music bcoz both are having MP3 and MPEG4 players, Why one is called waltman? please let me know which one is better (Camera Pixles arenot imp for me)

To get rid of the instant viewer screen branding on three you need to go into phone settings and find instant viewer, turn the service off and viola.
I can explain exactly because I chose the Nokia N80 over the k800, what a bad choice, oh well :(

when i got mine.. the battery came half way charged, and it only took about 30 minutes to get it to full leve.

ei guys, i need your inputs, esp those who own k800 already... i know that it offers BEST picture & sound quality coz it's a SE phone, but my only concern is the message capacity - i once had k750i & it sucks when it comes to message capacity bec it can only save 150msgs, so i switched to n70 - only for the reason that nokia symbian phones can save up hundreds of msgs bec u can switch the msg settings to save all your messages to memory card. SE phones wont even allow u to change the msg settings & maximize the msg capacity by using its memory stick... so does k800 offer the same thing in terms of message capacity? guys, i would really appreciate any inputs on this one... thanks! super! in advance! ;)

I have this handset for a week now and I have to admit I am a little disappointed after all the reviews I had read.
The display is simply brilliant, the software is quite user friendly, but yet too buggy!! Problems with voice controls. And battery life far from expectations - less than two days. Keyboard also looks and feels a bit cranky. Have not tested video calls so far.

hi got the phone two weeks ago its brill got a bodyglove cover of ebay it keeps it clean and stops the lense cover from opening in your pocket

the k800 is much better, better picture quality n nicer looking the w900 is very ugly and big and bit older....
