Thx for the excellent reviews.... def. impressed withe the K800. was looking for an mp3 player cum phone for a while
Just was wondering if the video quality ( which is pretty medicore compared to the N80) will improve with the firmware updates or is it a hardware thing.......
anyway think i will go get it in the evening or tom. after i hear about the video capabilities..

its a pity s/e dont put the picsel viewer etc into there non smartphones(k800 for eg) to keep them on par with samsung also it is a pity that they did not up the video to qvga like the w800i or cif & i cant help thinking why why did they do this???

When you turn it on just in "flight mode" is it just the music player that can be used? Or can you use all non-network dependent feature like camera etc.?

The design of K750i (more class) is better than k800i...

Front not so bad but when turn back then u see it looked ugly...

If only SE developed another K750i design with all the k800i features plus better video resolution then it's a super phone...

                  Hello guys

Actually this mobile is incredible, and it has all features: 3G (For Video calls and higher bit rates for internet and GPRS), powerful camera (3.2 MP).

Just I am facing a problem with the speaker. Sometimes the voice is not clear.. It is it a major problem ?? somebody faced that before?

Guys, your help is really appreciated to tell me about this problem

                        kalin,
its possible that the k800 already has cif video quality in it and all it needs is the firmware to activate it, but sony most definitely wont allow it so they can keep that feature for the other series' (probably p900+). its all marketing. the k800 cant be a perfect phone

Sorry for the stupid question but could anyone tell me whether it's possible with a firmware upgrade in future to reach CIF video recording on K800?

I've had this phone since Monday. And its fantastic !
It runs smoothly and has a great interface, as all SE's do. Im now looking for a decent price on a 1gb M2 card, think the cheapest I have seen it is £40.

Does anyone have any decent software they think I should get hold of ? Are there any pieces that you always pack straight onto your phone ?

                              Many Thanks

ei guys, i need your inputs, esp those who own k800 already... i know that it offers BEST picture & sound quality coz it's a SE phone, but my only concern is the MESSAGE CAPACITY - i once had k750i & it sucks when it comes to message capacity bec it can only save 150msgs, so i switched to n70 - only for the reason that nokia symbian phones can save up hundreds of msgs bec u can switch the msg settings to save all your messages to MEMORY CARD. SE phones wont even allow u to change the msg settings & maximize the msg capacity by using its memory stick... so does k800 offer the same thing in terms of message capacity? guys, i would really appreciate any inputs on this one... thanks! super! in advance! ;)

good point on using the photo of white paper as a source of light.

and who's complaining about no light anyway? would you rather have an actual light or the xenon flash?

it doesn't have a sunglasses holder either but im not complaining.

Actually I was expecting k800 to be at P24K here in the philippines instead of P26K when I saw it on rob place.

I don't have the money yet, so instead

I bought w810 which costs P17K at a seperate xenon flash mx-60 from sony ericsson center, costing about P1K and now I have a walkman phone with xenon flash...

hehehehe... works the same only it doesn't have best pic and the resolution is a step back to 3.2 mp.
