z710 you are joking????
it's camera is way worse like i sad even profesional cameras use cmos sensors it dose't mater that much any more(in mobile i prefer cmos if they would of sad ccd super had ...)
the z710 is much much more worse than k800 in therms of camera and sound as for the scren i don't think that the k800 will be lower than z710 (i thinck that the quality will be bether becouse of the protective layer)
by the way k800 has bluetooth 2 z710 1.2
k800 has videocall z710 hasen't(as i can see)
as for the pixel view and .... you can just instal it on the k800 so thi is not an advantage in the name of the z710

    SE K800 VS SAMSUNG Z710

    Weight/Size : K800 is 8 grams heavier & 10 mm wider. That's a lot.
Display : Samsung is known to produce quality screens than SE, since both hav a QVGA screen, Z710 should hav a btter display than K800i.
MP3 Sound : K800 is better with the headset, Z710 has the advantage in speakers.
    Design : Undoubtedly, Z710 outclasses K800i.
Camera : SE is known to produce quality pics but Z710 uses CCD Matrix which is better than CMOS which d K800i uses.So we cant tell which is d better one.
Video : K800i is still with the ancient QCIF res, while Z710 will most likely have a CIF, like other samsung phones.
K800i has infrared, Z710 has TV Out.
Z710 has document viewer (excel, word) while SE has none.
Z710 has 128MB internal memory, K800 has only 64MB.M2 cards are still unpopular, only 512MB will b available this year while micro-SD will hav 2Gb at the end of d year.
So which is d better phone?Z710...

if xenon flash is not so important then why do digicam manufacturers put in xenon flash, instead of led, admit it, all the other camera phones are useless at night except for this one...

                      Hi
Just thought I would rebut a few of the criticisms about the lack of a quantum leap in style/features (I am a telecoms engineer and have friends at R&D at SE).
The basic design is good with good ergonomics and a tough case, going the Motorola route would mean a flimsy phone with shorter battery life. Ever read the comments when phones first come out? Lots of 'it freezes' 'it shuts off' etc. SE are being sensible and taking a good stable platform and improving it. All phones are a compromise; the perfect phone would have a PC keyboard, a 19 inch screen, 100X optical zoom, dual core pentiun, terrabits of memory a fusion reactor good for a million years of power but be the size of a stick of gum! The key thing with camera phones are power consumption, physical size and the optical system. It is very hard to make an autofocus system this small and rugged, the level of precision required is incredible. Also due to the limitations of the optical materials the CCD has to be very high density, you cant fit a conventional sized array a few mm from the lense, you just cant bend the light enough! Another factor is economics. SE could have come up with a stunning new case and designed completely new circuitry, however that costs LOADS and then you would be wishing you could afford this phone instead of playing with it! Finally to the guy who criticised the lack of office software - sorry but does it look like a PDA to you? It is a camera phone - ie it is a very good mobile with a very good camera and an excellent MP3 player and radio as bonuses. Some of us like to get away from work once in a while and dont want to sit on the train trying to do a spreadsheet on their mobile! All in all I think SE have done a stunning job of producing an excellent phone with a good balance of features and performance at a price that is affordable. By the way, xenon flashes put out a huge amount of light in a VERY short period of time, which means that you will get sharper and less blurred pictures than with LED systems which require longer exposure times and have a shorter range for the size and power consumption.
                      Hope this helps!

Why do Sony Ericsson still insist on using those nasty plastic joystick things, don't they know by now they're prone to failure

for god's sake ,people! stop comparing a nokia symbian phone with this one. even the price isn't the same category . why don't you compare them with one from the same category -> the p990 which has symbian.

Its a good phone. But again incomparable to N93. Sony Ericsson lost this time. The more fierce camera smartphone takes the title in digital camphone photography. The winner is N93

Used to have the K750 and didn't really want that coz of the design etc but was very impressed with it ...I'm sure the same will be said for the K800...if and when o2 pulll their finger out and send me one!!
