Oh my god. It seems according to the preview by GSM Arena the K800 will come only with a standard headphone and not music headphone. Please somebody confirm.

I'm using the 750i... comparing the specs side-by-side, i'm not too impressed, especially with the Memory Stick Micro format, which means anything I invested in Duo Pro is worthless if I upgrade.

In addition, didn't Sony's ultra-compact cybershot have internal optical-zoom? why can't they put it on this? They've already made this phone bigger in all 3 dimensions than the 750i, might as well add a bit of additional thickness to incorporate optical zoom...

I'll pass on this iteration and upgrade to the successor of this phone. (also, does the Bluetooth 2.0 support stereo transmissions?)

(continuation from previous message, I accidentally pressed ESC :P)
So, it seems that you guys think everything what SE doesn´t have is crap...?
And you think that the worlds largest mobile manufacturer is actually making crappy phones?
What comes to Nokia cameras... No, they don´t have auto-focus. But if they are so crappy, how come my 6270 takes exactly as good pics as my pals K750i except in close-ups?
But whatever, you´ll probably call me a stupid Nokia-fan (which I am not) and start writing a opera about SE.
Why can´t you just accept taht there are more than ONE good mobile-phone company in the world...? I mean please... It´s just so childish to write false statements about other companies just because you don´t happen to use their phones?

            Nice poetry...
Heil Sony Ericsson! Heil Auto-focus and Walkman and the K-series!
Sony Ericsson, the phone company of the Rising Sun... You fanatics should start a own political party instead of trying to convince each other about how "bad"

This SE as all other own nokia anyday. So what if the nokia's may have better video capture , who cares there cameras suck. Think about it you're more likely to take pictures than video. I mean what are u a film director or let's say a toursit taking pics, think about it. Ye wi fi is great and all put gprs/wap are options, Do you nokia guys consider the price for wifi. I would think that the gprs connect for ur carrier is a better connection. Plus who really prefers to surf the web on a small screen????? Thats like preferring to watch movies on the phone than at the theatre.

Main point is that u want a phone that replaces devices pretty good.
                  Sony ericsson has great cameras
                  - replaces my need for a camera
                  Sony ericsson walkman phone
                  - replaces the need for an ipod.
Although the storage is smaller i don't need 60 gb of space.

                  Where as nokia
camera produces filmy (A sort of dark filmed pics) pics yet great video.
                  - do u really use videos??? and would you say it raplaces need for camcorder, Then again nokia clips are limited to like 1min clips n 1min clips.

                  - Nokia's wi fi.
                  - As good as this maybe there is gprs available which u can get and is more stable(Better connection)
                  - Does this wi fi replace the need for you computer.

And let it be known it is nokia that imitates.

Ericsson has been using Icon based menus since the T68i.
And all of a sudden i see nokias sporting icon based menus.
What happened to the pictures based menus???

Sony ericsson has been using joysticks how long why is nokia now following..

Guys the main point is this. There is no sense of heavily integrating features if u can't replace the device. Wifi on a phone does really come close to replacing a laptop.
I mean come on the screen size alone tells you this.
Great video doesn't really replace the need for a camcorder( If your that in too ur videos.)

To me i know a phone can replace the need for camera. I mean if ur an advanced photogragher yes u need a camera but for the average user like me a phone can do it just fine.
Mobile music, no need for a ipod the 34mb internal memory and 512Mem stick duo will do for me.

Its like this A laptop can replace a desktop, but a portable dvd player can't replace a laptop.
I mean what next surround sound speaker for ur phone to watch movies??? nahhh

I'm still using K700i and it still matches (and sometimes beats) the opposition in functionality and beauty. The only problem is the joystick that has become hard to use.(it takes 2-3 tries to move) Other than that, it was a brilliant phone.
I expect the K800 to be a great phone too, thus my next phone will definitely be K800. Thanks Sony Ericsson!

I am really liking the 3.2Mp camera on this. I have been holding out before I upgrade, waiting for a better camera - only thing i dont like about this phone is the joystick. It put me off getting the K750 because it's unsightly and difficult to use. Pleas SE, change to keypad for navigation!!!

                          to all of you...

don't you know that SE and Nokia's Joysticks were different?

yes because nokia's joystick is not a really joystick instead it's only a keypad inside so it is more stable and more dust-proof... they just transform the casing's keypad to joystick to save more space on the phone's navigation

I love this phone it looks great currently I am using the K750i its too looks good but i think the K800i is the best...maybe if i have cash i will definately change to this new model(if all the functions will be like the k750i) but i really do say it lacks security featurea it should be able to lock ur phone from people acessing to the phone book, sms etc...as agree by some of its users.hope the price will be low much lower than the w900i wat u think guys pls email me for more info is there digital zoom or optical zoom in it they should create these type of features and also most importantly can the camera light or photo light be on permantely just like my K750i as we can use it as a torch to find things in the dark???pls reply guys n thanks..happy viewing...its perfect like a masterpiece...

its a great phone, but it lacks security features compared to motorola and nokia, example, pin codes to access your messages, phone book, photos, etc.you would want anyone to browse through your phone.they should really consider it.
                                        thanx
