K800 and Z710 are pretty similar phones, we have to wait for their appereance in the market to make any solid conclusions.

Xenon flash, image stabilizer, 16x digital zoom, auto red eye reduction etc etc
this device sould be on par with Sony cybershot cams, do u know what this means?
everything is improvved ni this phone comparing to the previus one, sound,screen,cam,OS EVERYTHING,
Siemens still copy Nokias and they came up with a new series after the new fusion,
wich financed them,
they wont last much.

K800 is one of the most complete phones over there though, destined to fill most of the ppls basic needs, kee[ing the small size,
great quality, easy use etc etc
if u r willing to carru a brick around,
just to have a very exotic feature (like DVB-H, or windows mobile, WLAN touchscreen, qwerty etc etc) then u only are pleased with a certain handset (how many phones in the market have those features?),
this phone isnt a super speliazed handset,
its designed for everyday use, it has much more than the average user would wish
and is destined to become a best seller,
it will compete phones like Nokia6233, N80,Samsung Z710,Sharp 904 etc etc

Yes! This phone is 10000% better than Samsung Z710.. Samsung Z710 is Better than SE K610.. K800I will the be the phone of the year i guess.. but i believe once this K800I is out haha.. guess wat? A new WalkMan Phone With or Almost Equal features & abilities of this phone maybe not as good but still good haha.. but i will buy K800I definately no matter if a new walkman phone which is almost the same as this haha..

I only want to say that I'm waiting for this phone and don/t try to compare it with other phones because is impossible to get an absolutely advantage over it

This phone looks way too retro big mistake sony, it looks to be going back to the t610 and t630 designs which is a negative. Also i bet the video recording is still a poor 176x144 pixel which is unacceptable samsung e720 is still the best mobile phone for video recording offering 352x262.

uhh you're comparing the wrong phones.
the k750 should be compared to the k790.
essentially the k790 has everything the k750 does, but with improvements in ui, software, camera, mp3 player, etc.
the k800 futher improves the k790 with 3g capabilities

man i just cant wait to get my hands on this phone hope it becomes avaialable really soon i had been dissapointed when sonyericsson made a mess with the m600 model and the other non-camera phone but i really love what i see here in k800 a marvellous job sonyericsson thanx :)

Sonny ericsson is making the decines of the phones all the same. Only thing they change are 1.3 to 2. or to 3.2 megapixel camera. No new dicines.Siemens was much better but made a misstake to sell mobile devision to BenQ.

what, up to 1GB only? compared to previous announced SE models... i think SE is going backwards in that department.

it supports real 8, H264 (apple's video codec..?) eAAC+ and macromedia flash lite contrary of what i said above, in this department they are going forward!

what's the difference between a phone wit a 3mp cam as an Addition and one wit a 3mp cam as it's Main selling/focus point?

this model does NOT have everything latest on it. this what i know are the latest (if not, pardon me if i don't know all the most up to date info..) but my point is, K800 does not really have "everything latest"
latest camera = 5mpx still with auto focus and strobe flash, plus a VGA video capture (LG KG920)and some model/s had an optical zoom already like sharp way back then
latest connectivity = WLAN, uPnP, UMA (if im not mistakin') (N80)
latest display = 480 x 640 (Sharp 904) active matrix TFT. with 16M colours (Panasonic, Samsung, Nokia)
Other latest features = DVB-H TV broadcast receiver, push to talk (nokia n92)
with that said, now everyone knows that Sony Ericsson (as of now) does not have all the latest features this mobile phone world has to offer! but conversely, if u'll not use the latest features mentioned in the future or not interested on em, then K800 is good choice (for some??)

OK! where do i start. I love SE not as much as Nokia but enough to have the K750i for 9 month. Yes i'm a nokia fan but to prove my non-bias remarks towards any brand i use the Moto V3i currently. I am not here to even give personal or general opinions, i'll give facts, and everyone can decide for themselves. I mean there is nothing wrong with personal choice, zome are Merc loyals and some are beemers. Which is better? either or.. i'd say both!
But what annoys me soo much is when some people on this thread post earlier things like, oh i wanted to get the N80 but now this is coming and it is better and i changed my mind cause it has "autofocus"! Yea sure i think you would couse you are out-of-fucus dude!
You know.. let us forget that N80 or K800 are what they are, lets presume they are brandless or whatever, who cares what is what, in the end it is the final facts that determine what is better or not, so when you claim you have changed your mind over another handset because of something soo irrelevant than you're just embarresing yourself imo! and i appologise for being honest and straight forward.
Lets us do a run through of the specs, since most people don't. I posted the price of the K800 a couple of posts down, maybe last pages now, and still people go on asking about the price of this! READ!
I will state the ADVANTAGES of each the N80 and the K800. So whatever is mentioned on either will be superior. What is more important for you in a cellphone would be an matter of induvidual choice and preference, who am i or we to judge "people's choices"
NOKIA N80:
Quad-Band / 352x416 pixels / 2.1" / Monophonic + True Tones / MinSD 2G hotswap / EDGE / Wi-Fi / Symbian S60 3ED OS / UPnP technology / Push to Talk / "stereo" FM / Voice Dial Memo
SE K800:
Polyphonic 72ch / HSCSD / 3.2 mp + autofocus / Image viewer / Picture Editor / Picture Blogging / 7h battery life.
And with all honesty, yes the K800 is a superb phone! It's just a matter of where your priorities in a cell phone set..

This phone has everything except STYLE. It looks fugly compared to the K750. The camera cover add-on further bulk and weight onto the phone. Who are SE trying to kid? This is not a camera so no point pretending to be a Cybershot. I wish they would just do away with the cover ala W810

This phone has everything latest in it. Bluetooth version, USB Camera, everything is simply superb.
I m waiting it. And u know guys. This wil be the first camera phone I'll buy. I was waiting for this type of phone. I m sure I wont repent after buying it.
