Let me start by Quoting CNET news!
"The K800 is designed to operate on a UMTS wireless network and offer "Picture Blogging" capability, which allows users to create and update personal blogs directly from the phone via Google's Blogger.com service. The K790 has the same features but is designed to operate on a tri-band EDGE network. Both phones are priced at about $355 and are scheduled for worldwide release in the second quarter of 2006."
I find that rather interesting hehe!
Secondly, about the Nokia N80 vs. K800 comments. Let me start off by agreeing to the gentelman who posted before me, that yes there is no comparison here between them. The N80 and the K800 are in a class of thier own. Yes the K800 has a better camera but for god sake, are we buying a camera with a phone or a phone with a camera! i think some people are getting confused over a pretty clear matter to me! If i wanted a superb camera i would sure as h*ll go buy a proper digital camera for that matter, which i already have, and guess what, it is a sony!
Nokia through statistics is the leader in it's industry and let us not forget why sony and ericsson became Sony Ericsson! Hey SE is a superb phone, i love it and i think they are great in every way. So do i love Moto for their success in flip phones which i like too. But nokia S60 softwares, interfase and user friendly menues along with many other features that will just prelong my thread are one of many reasons why i will stick with nokia, and i am not bias to any, hell if the SE had the same specs as the N80 and vise-versa i would go buy myself the SE phone! The fact remains that it doesn't, simply compare both phones and just see for yourself. K800 doesn't have UPnP, WiFi, S60 OS, as good resolution, as big screen and some other specs.
SE is a great cell in the end. Reliable and full of great features. Good job SE never fail to impress.

what is with the ignorant comments...
i don't see where any of you can compare the n80 so directly to the k800. they are obviously in a different class (and price range for that mater). the mere fact that the k800 does not have wifi, should be sure sign that the k800 is not targeting that particular market (which is still a fairly small one, at best).
both nokia and se have their strengths and weaknesses. it is obvious that se (alongside their their growing partnership with sony's technologies) has superior audio/visual capabilities. however, nokia is far better at perfecting the basic functions of a cellphone.
as for the gentlemen who bashed the k series for sharing similarities (k700-k750-k800), you have no clue what you're talking about.
mabye you should go bash lambougini for making cars that looks alike, or ferrari, or mercedes..

stupid thing about the phone makers are-on one hand they continously integrating more and more multimedia features on to their newest products which requires more memory space on the other hand they continue to put smallest memory card.i really wonder what is the weight and size difference between full size upcoming 8gb ms card and this stupid micro m2 card.think again.does it worth.

People, Sony Ericsson a couple of hrs ago just did their press conference at RedDot. I've very impressive with what this K800 can do. But SE phone i don't like abt their batt. charging system. Other than that... this phone have hit the sky. I'm waiting to get it to my hand. Well done, Sony Ericsson, great phone...

the n80 has a bader camera than k750
in the review of k790 on mobile-review they sad that the n80 camera is to weak to be comperd to the one on k790 so they usd a k750
