Maybe try this.
If the firmware update fails part way through, retry the SEUS. If the update consistently fails you will need to perform a Master Reset on your phone. It is likely that you will be required to perform a Reset All - a settings reset is unlikely to do the job. It is recommended to use a tool such as MyPhoneExplorer to create a backup of the data on your phone before performing a Master Reset. Note that you will still lose any games, themes or ringtones present in your phone's memory.
SEUS will currently install the following firmware revisions for UK phone brands:
Unbranded UK -R3CA038
O2 UK - R3CA038
Vodafone UK - R3CA038
Orange UK - R3CA038
3 UK - R3CA038
T-Mobile - R3CA038
Third Party Update Services
Third party firmware updates are available from DaVinci Team, Kulan Kendi & Total GSM. The use of third party solutions will theoretically void your warranty (although in practice the phone vendor is unlikely to notice) so should only be used in preference to SEUS for debranding purposes or updating a problematic phone locked out of SEUS by the service provider.

Drivers for all current Sony Ericsson phones can be downloaded from EMMA.

important word of advice:- fully charge battery before starting update.

Hi i have a prob. I have updated a phone and now it doesn't accept the sim card. And i tried to put it (the sim card) in too another k800i, the d... thing won't start the infra red light blinks? What's wrong with the update site? Now i have two phones that don't work .... Piece of shit twice i don't wanna change the phone but this situation is ridiculous. If you have the solution please be nice and reply. Thanks and bye.

well i never had the opportunity to use this phoen and i had to use the SEM K790i and i dint like the phone because of its battery problems...After using the handset for one year, it started givin me problems with batter and never got resolved even after softare reflash and battery replacement ....i liked the SEM K800i as one of my friends is using from the past 2 years and it wroking fine and the battery last for two days .....Its simply amazing.......

I think some store are still selling the brand new SE K800i, depends on the country. I'm sure it's still available in Asia countries.

I picked the SE K800i in dec of 2006 and use it to date, as a user with first hand experience i say its truely an amazing piece of gadget for its times and even now i see tht its camera performance in poorlight or rather blinding darkness is A class compared to many other higher res camera phones. The design, though not user friendly in many ways, is classy and sleek. To me its a gr8 fone on the whole which wud fetch a 9.5 out of 10.

Hey guys, you know what? I have seen and used most phones with lots of functions but not like the my recent k800i. I mean its gat lots of functions. Can you dig opening so many applications at thesame time, deam its wonderful. Mxt 4real.

i got it in 2006 and still use it, i cannot believe that today a phone like that exists (it was definitely in front of its time, most of todays new phones are worse and have lower performances than k800)

SE k8oo is so cool... its videos are clearly seen on screen. i just don't know what happened to my k800, because when i take videos and watch from it, it's already pixeled and i can't enjoy watching videos. can anyone please tell what i have to do with it,,, thanks!!!

This is one among the Best Phones I have ever used... I have been using this phone for the past 3 years now and I'm really extremely happy with the Picture Clarity and all it's features...
