it because k850 have a light sensor on the left top side...
it can make u see the display more clearly..
in a dark situation light on your screen decrease, but when you in out door it increase light level of your screen...

i bought this phone in indonesia, my friend also had a problem like me, maybe because the QC for asia is not good..

tasawar, 01 Dec 2008can anybody plese tell me why does my k850s brightness inc... moreIt's ok. All phones face the same problem. This is because no screen is of 100% efficiency. Even my friend's N95 8GB faces this type of problem. No harm done really.

THerefore, stop bragging about some god forsaken N82. No doubt the N82 is good. My K850i was submerged in water yet it survived, can N82 resist that, Naaa, don't think so. my friend's N82 fell from her hand to the desk, which was about 15 cm high and the whole screen went blank. She had to switch over for a new phone. So what if a phone is good, the most important thing is durability. Thus, please post some relevant articles. Thank you and have a nice day.

and also dani, the n82 is a better phone than the k850 in every single way except looks.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970I advice you to get a K850i. With the latest firmware(RIFA), they say it is working like a breeze and the camera even outshines that of the N82. My friend got an N82 and was so complacent over it. Later, when he compared his photo and my K850i photo on the computer screen, the K850i photos won tremendously. This is because on the screen, the K850i only displays 262k colour while the N82 displays 16 million colour, thus whatever photos you get on the N82 screen will experience no change when you put it into a computer but will turn duller. The N82 is famous for loud but broken noise while the K850i is loud and clear since it utilizes the Walkman Player v3.0. It is also very durable and the design is very original(with the soft keys). The N82 is just a copycat in terms of design. Everybody who had use Nokia said that Nokia is very boring as the themes sucks and the GPS/Wifi is not as good as the HTC. In terms of entertainment, SE stands out the most. In terms of function, HTC is the best. Thus, what you want most probably depends on yourself. If you are a guy, never get N82 as the keypad is very user "unfriendly" for men. Haha...^^

K850i has Great Sound Quality and good picture quality and it has 3LED for video recording and a Xenon Flash
The Sound Quality of K850i is excellent crisp and clear and Excellent BASS output..especially with the Walkman earphones it brings out true Bass!
You can also take a look at the SE C905 that has best sound and picture quality.
(Just dont get a Nokia lol)

I don't know where in the world did you get your phone but I think your case is the same with Mr.Vikram. Here is my honest advice, if you wanna bad mouth this model, then please do it elsewhere. Your phone must have been purchased in Afghanistan or Pakistan for you to get such a low quality phone.^^ If not, then I advice you to upgrade your firmware to RIFA, then you will not experience this type of software error anymore. From my friends opinion, they said the K850i triumph over other 5mp phones and is still the hottest in the market, the camera even outshine that of the N82. Thus, I do hope you repent over your behaviour and do not spoil the image of this model again. Thank you very much.=)

I have this phone for 24 hrs, but, I havent tested it yet... It needs to be decoded, so I could use it on my network... From my friends experience, it is a great phone... I hope I'll decode it soon...
It has a great design, to be honest, it isn't thin, but, who cares... It has 5 mpx camera and pretty cool functions...

features of this phone is great but the main problem is the software..
i bought this phone 3 month ago, after 2 days it start problem, after i take a photo the phone restart itself, also if i play a music it also restart, i try to fix it but it still restart till now..
if u have this phone, just sell it..
but if u just wanted 2 buy this phone, forget it..
it's the worst phone i ever had...

DANIJEL, 29 Nov 2008it is the best one i dot have it but i will bu it soon it i... moreAs we all know, quality goods are not cheap but it is durable. A very wise choice but you have to be prepared to clean the phone from time to time with a cloth since it easily accumulate fingerprints. Trust me, this phone is excellent. I have used it for 1 year now and there are no faults in my phone. My phone fell to the ground for 6 or 7 times already (lost count) and was even submerged in water once but please don't try this. It has undergone a lot of test and came out with only a few scratches. I advice you to not buy the C902. It accumulate dust very easily and is mostly meant for girls since the keypad are mingled up, causing awkward typing experience.
