The display problem is common. every k850 comes with... morehmm.. about K850i.
I`m using K750i, it's great, because the autofokus better than K550i. Not because the camera but also the music player. K750i have MEGA BASS but K550i not have it. Too bad.
But however, since Sony Ericsson lauch this(K850i), i'm very excithing, because not just the camera it's great(5 megapixel)but also this product have better sound than N73,N82,etc.
Stupid person if they likes Nokia.
The speaker of Sony Ericsson it's quiet better than nokia N-series.
K850i not just great camera but also great walkman-phone with software walkman 3.0 --wonderfull--

im having a prob with my 4gig memory, it says it has to be formatted but when i do i cant put files on it. an my vidoes timing doesnt match the sound, i think is my my video converter. is it ?

I see. But now my SE k850i is quite slow and I don't know why this is happening? Got any suggestions to make it runs smoother? I was so happy when I first got it but as time pass by, I found out that the pictures I take with it is not as clear as advertised. Is there any tips to get good pictures plus excellent qualities? And ya, I do like it a lot as a lot of people praise the beauty and uniqueness of this excellent phone. Love it. ^^

my favourite model is k510i
i like to use used mobile in half price with
6 to 9 months warenty. Take Care.

I have this phone since last February and i didn't had any problems. After the upgrade i did a month ago i have problem with the keys and the phone freezes.Is it possible to downgrade the firmware?

Seriously most of you complaining about the k850 clearly do not understand how to use it properly. I absolutely guarantee that any of you who think the xenon flash is not working properly while taking pictures are blocking it with your right hand. Furthermore, I've owned 2 k850's, and just about every other high end SE phone, and their build quality is excellent. My sister is still using a w900i I gave here 3 years ago and it has been around the world and back, dropped, kicked, gotten wet, you name it. As for the touch sensitive buttons, or any other 'software' issues any of you have, stop complaining, pay like $10 (USD) and upgrade the firmware! It will fix 100% of your problems and the phone will run incredibly fast. Lastly, I have also owned several Nokia N-series devices (N95-3, N82, and N95-4) and while they are excellent devices, they are criminally ugly; not once did I ever receive a compliment on an N-Series device, but my SE phones get praise all the time! In conclusion, you're all very entitled to your opinions about different phones, but sometimes a lack of education about how to properly use and maintain a device leads others to think the device is no good, which is NOT THE CASE. I have a feeling many of you are the same people whose computers happen to crash all the time or work very slowly right? Hmm...technological coincidence, or psychological coincidence?

Redundant, 16 Oct 2008Since when Se cell made elsewhere, than China it started wa... morelet's be sensitive to Chinese. im an Asian and we all know the reputation of China but then again, it's the fault of SE. there's nothing wrong in placing the production to China. there's something wrong with the quality assurance team. maybe SE cuts the production cost too low. i dont know..hehehe
i love my k850i! it doesnt have any defects as what others here are mentioning. i just hope a new firmware will speed up the performance of this phone. still laggy when searching for a contact and browsing the media menu.

HEY !
The display problem is common. every k850 comes with that display prob with its first 6 -8 months. just replace your display, in asian countries it is below 30$, FOR NOKIA USERS I recommend to not to buy this phone. cuz its useless, i ve used both k850 and n73, n73 is better than the k850, now i am using a n82.
Look at everything when you are buying a phone,
1.bat life
2.camera
3.flashers
4.display size(over 2.2')
5.problems within 2 years such as this prob
6.music player
7.video frame rate(now over 25 not QVGA)
8.bluetooth with v2.0 with A2DP
9.finally price

Since when Se cell made elsewhere, than China it started way back in P990i production shifting from France to China.
Touch 3 buttons are sensetive and mostly cause of trouble. This shape and design is discontinued but with bad name to SE. Its sets are in short supply why becuz production and demand is equalised.
Resale is zero you loose only not having Wlan, become redundant.

I have this phone and it is amazing it takes micro sd or memory stick micro and it is way better than the n95 because i had used the n95 and it is very slow

By the way, to all users of SE in ASIA. I heard that SE production plant recently moved in to China. That means they are producing phones in China. And as a result the problems in the SE phones are increasing.
Last month when i was in the SE customer service center, the guy their told me he is recieving more than 250 replacement requests every month since SE production has moved in to china....
I am saying good bye to SE though i liked it so much... but the durability is such a big question for SE handsets....i have had a lot with my k850i...not any more... it lost me $500...and counting

This is a nice phone and a everything is just fine, but the problem with SE is they dont last more than 1 year or so...my k850 do not have a single scratch in it (i am extra caring to my phone), but still on the 10th month the software corrupted and as u know the production of k850 is stopped its impossible to replace....still my phone is on the service center for 22days. And sony ericsson customer service is full of shit...!!! They dont even care about wat i want to say.
I like SE and the products for it's unique style but this kinda service pushes me towards other brands.
