nick, 23 Sep 2008ive always thought LG's were well madeLG's seem tough to me to, especially the LG 'Shine' that felt solid
but to me Nokia's just feel Solidly Made and the best built,
SE's are good, but still they do have hardware problems
like my W850i's D-Pad cracked ..
then K850i's Keypad has now cracked..
W810i - Solid but back cover falls off lol
K810i - same back cover always falls off

didnt i tell you a long time ago that ALL nokia's feel PLASTIC and creaky?
you didn't believe me then and it sure took you a long time but at least now you see my way of thinking.
i'm using the n82 BLACK now and you dont see me going into all these little forums bragging about my nokia handset.
oh yeah, and the n82 creaks and feel all plastic AS HELL.
i guess you can say im super spoiled with all my high-end htc phones and the previous iPhone. :)

and yes i admit i was abit careless with my K850i but it wasnt properly my fault, it fell out of my pocket when i wasnt looking. . . .

yes honestly i reallly do want a N95 8GB that MUCH!
and no i do i like K850i to but still N95 8GB man...i just love it
and im planning on getting one when i take this K850i back to were it came from.

just saying you know K810i is abit ... moreIm sorry to hear that your K850 broke but it kinda sounds like you were a lil careless with it. With R1F fw the K850 is exactly what it should have been in the 1st place.
What i realy like is how the K850 has better specs yet is still a little smaller than a K810, but K850 still manages to have a larger screen, HSDPA, more RAM, larger camera unit, a xenon AND 3leds, larger more powerful loudspeaker and an accelerometer.

just saying you know K810i is abit more you know Gold, K850i is abit weaker, i know K850i is better improved etc etc
but still iv given up on it now
i did drop my K850i and it might of broken that keyboard plate thing, but still its unusable rigtht now.

Havent had a single problem with mine on latest FW. Mate i dont see what you're talking about, under the keypad and all my K850 is metal, feels extremely solid. Both NOKIAs and SEs are cheaply built though, especialy newer models, the N78 and some of the newer SE Walkmans, seems like all these manufacturers love cheap plastic.
Sorry i disagree just because YOUR K850 is stuffed doesnt mean your K810 is now better lol. K810 is SO NOT better. Thats like saying a N80 is better than a N95, we all know thats not true.

OMG. . my phone is now ok. .
after all the software reformatting and recustomization and changing of its LCD. . now my phone is working and in very good condition. .
those people who are expiriencing this problem:
your phone will restart but there is no display. .
TRY TO GO TO SONY ERICSSON AT MALL OF ASIA. .
AND HAVE A REFORMATTING OR RECUSTOMIZATION AND TRY TO CHANGE ITS LCD.. .
ITS WORKING. . ^^

Nice phone and idea but it is too thick and has a fault where it locks up and the blue led's get stuck on. I'm upgrading to the C905.

Hi all. I have had my 850i for 3 months, and now all of a sudden, the middle touch screen button (usually used to open menu) has stopped working, and instead I have to gently tap the number 8 button instead! This is making my mobile unusable - pity cos I really found it to be a great phone! Can anyone help? I tried resetting and updating the phone, but still not working.

i've had this phone for 6 months and has sent it for reply 3 times already. i experienced drop calls, software hanging and the speaker stopped working. This is probably the Worst phone i have ever used. I do have some friends who have this phone and they all have similar experienes as me. i dunno about about the rest of you all, but i'm planning on selling this and getting something better.

Right well here goes, you all probably know that my K850i had got BROD-ED (Blue Ring Of Death) < it got fixed
but now.....
just yesterday i was using the keypad on my K850i and BAMMMMMMMMMM the Keypad just fell apart and has now MALFUNCTIONED!
its not usable, the whole Keypad faceplate has fallen off and the keys have moved inside the body of it.....
yes the good thing is iv seen how cheap SE's are made ...its just plastic nothing else plastic and jellly
even my shoes are made better then the K850i (No Joke)
so yes my K850i is not working at all ...in other words the Keypad has just died and the whole thing looks like its tummy has bursed.
im not as mad as i was when it got BROD-ed ..im just pissed of at SE for making such a crapply build phone .
il send a link to show the Keypad Malfunctioning, its really bad
and im not dissing SE here, im just giving my opinion
