For people that experience bad photos, you need to change the settings and test each of them out for it to be good. They seems to be all differnt with differnt phones. Do not put them on auto unless you have no other choices. For me, my settings are: Normal, Twilight portrait, 5mp, auto, auto, off, auto, normal, cloudy, off.
Curently all my photos are turning about supurb!

good am guys.. can someone teach me how to repair my phone.. because my k850 keeps on hanging since i restarted my phone after i downloaded some themes.... the unit kips on searching network but after a few seconds.. it will freeze... den i restart manually ejected my battery.. but the same thing happens... how can i repair dis?? any1///

My k850's display just gets black every time i press the button 4(h) on the sms interface. Thats a very anoying thing...donno what to do with it. is the software damaged or what? Anybody can help me on this???

K850i is has best phone camera! first, take out the plastic cover from back, then Take your hand away from the back of the phone, then you will never see any black photo!!!cheak it, on lastest update it is perform really nice

850i is a good phone. had a software problem with the first 1 but the second 1 is great. camra is good & phone looks good.

I had this phone for a month and it is the only phone from sony ericsson that i love. It's really good, excelllent camera, sound quality and build quality. The main thing i love in this phone is the way that the camera is built inside the mechanical shutter. The back of this phone looks really nice. I am sad sony ericsson didnt incorporate this design in their other phones sus=ch as the C902 which i dont like because you have to pull to reveal the camera. The only problem in this phone is that this phone is based on a java o.s that means you can put many types of softwares such as anti-virus. Also i can confirm to you that a java platform is not as stable as a symbian and a windows mobile platform. When a virus enters a symbian or windows phone it can be manually scanned and deleted on the phone and the virus doesnt open menus by itself. If the same virus enters a java phone (K850 in my case), menus open by themselves and messages were sent to my contacts. I lost alot of airtime and to switch to another phone. I cant get my K850 repaired and know i have a nokia e90 which is awesome in every aspect except battery life but i dont mind that. I just want to tell you that be aware of this incident when buying a java phone. And if a person from sony ericsson is reading this PLEASE,PLEASE make this exact phone again with a symbian o.s. Many people will go for it.

I have a K850i on O2 and absolutely hate the handset with a passion. The touch screen is a complete and utter nuisance. The right hand touch screen soft-key is for your contacts list and always results in calling up the first person on the list. I've had to put a new entry on my contacts list (just the letter 'A' and no phone number assigned to it) to stop this happening.
The camera is bloody awful too - with a majority of pictures taken being blurred. Using the flash is out of the question as 9 times out of 10 it makes it look like the picture was taken at ground zero of Nagasaki. My partner has a SE K810i and using the flash on that handset in the same conditions gives a generally fantastic photo.
The handset I have is also crashing often - and restarting. I called O2 to see if they could offer me a replacement K850i - even if it is a refurb (my current handset is annoying me THAT much!) but they advised me that they are no longer selling the K850i brand new and that a lot of people have been returning their handsets with faults. That seems to say it all really. If O2 have ditched this handset altogether, it backs up my initial feelings about the SE K850i...
AVOID!
I am personally waiting for the release of the Nokia N96... Come on Nokia? Where the hell is it already?!?
