west life fans, 31 Aug 2008this phone is a steel !This phone in toronto is 485.00 and the n95 is 550.00. The n95 has gps built in and wi fi, but the k850 doesn't have these 2 features, so for an extra 65 dollars you get a lot better deal, plus the n95 is also a smartphone!

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Did you ever think that maybe anon doesn't know much about nokia music phones, so the suggestion of nokia could prove very helpful to him, after all a k850 user named Manikandan switched to Nokia n82 and he hasn't looked back. Nick always suggested n82 to Manikandan!
Nokia music phones have say and play, can;t beat that while you're driving! Voice control over your music player.
Do se music phones have this?

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970To clarify this for you even more, the real issue is anon needs help to buy a good music phone, instead of just saying not, a music phone should have been suggested by direwolf, but it takes nokia users to provide an answer for anon! Next time think before you post!

Well i bought this phone of eBay and it arrived faulty as the loudspeaker was dead. I emailed the Asian seller, lodged a complaint with eBay but I got no answer from anybody :(
Nonetheless, i decided to open the phone and managed to fix the speaker problem by extending the speaker latches inside the phone so to make better contact with the circuit board and voila! problem solved.
Two weeks later the camera shutter stopped working and i opened the phone again to fix that issue but i don't think its something that can be fixed without new parts so its on it's way to SE Service.....
My honest opinion?
The best and the worse phone i ever owned. I love the features, the extended customisation, i love that i can transfer *any* kind of file to the "other" folder before installation, i love that i can update my phone from my pc, I love every single feature it has but im so sad the phone is as faulty as many other K850i's around......
Conclusion: I still love it but i wouldn't recommend it to non tech savvy buyers

CHRIS, 28 Aug 2008KKK *The sound quality is 100% better I had a w850i and ... morei also had the same problem almost 2 months ago.. for all i know many are experiencing the same problem which is scaring me. i took a month b4 the part needed to repair my fone arrived. did the same problem occured to your fone again? well, i hope it will not and so to the others who own one... or else SE might need to recall this fone.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970lol im not though. i just like nokias because the feature sets are always miles better for the same prices.
for example, i think the samsung i850 innov8 is everything the n96 should have been and tbh the n96 looks outdated in comparison. i cant like SE's because they just dont have a phone i would even consider buying. (xperia maybe...though it isnt out yet and HTC made it)

The phone is fantastic, camera isn't too bad, the keypad is really nice and the display is fantastic.
But if you do get this phone, GET A SCREEN PROTECTOR! I made a mistake, and I have a few unsightly scratches on my screen. The latest update improves speed and performance greatly.

Use the SonyEriccson Update service as much as possible..I try to every other week. If your phone dies try it...it usually works...and as far as battery life I feel that the K850i has awesome batt life!!! Im on the internet and playing movies all the time and it last me more than 48hrs and thats all you should expect if you use your phone a lot...it will last prob 4 days without using al the crazy funtions
