Lark, 02 Aug 2008i like this fone other than the problems i have had it repl... morehey man, i totally agree with you, if this phone would be working well, not just phone calls, i'm talking about all features, then it would be best i even had
till then, oops. one of the lame product sony ericsson come up with.
and yes i upgraded software, did not solve the problems. lag all the time, camera flash wayy too bright, sometime pictures way too white. speaker stopped to work at all. set up alarm a few times, and it did not go off. video in mp4 or AAC filesdo not play with sound, and if plays than it video goes behind with voice.
would love to keep thi phone, though still wayting for X1, i hope X1 would be what it worth it ;)

I have had the W600, W810, W710 and the W580, All have been wonderful phones, and have taken there share of abuse and still work like a charm.

I too had my share of bad experiences with this phone...If you guys don't believe me, then go ahead and experience it for yourselves!

i have my phone since january, and notice the following prob:
1. when i took close-up pictures, the result is too bright that yu cannot even see the image.
2. my phone is shutting down and return to the default theme. my observation is because of the cover of the battery. it seems like it is loose. but do you think this is the main reason for shutting down?
3. i just upgraded my firmware version to R1FA035 080527. how this resolve the previous bugs?
is there any cam setting i should use to capture good photo. sometimes i missed to capture the beautiful event because of the poor picture result.

sony ericssons used to be amazing but the new phones( beyond the w810i) are terrible. they are so unreliable. I have had mine for 9 months now it has stopped working 7 times and had to be replaced 3 times. These phones are an absolute joke. DO NOT BUY ONE YOU WILL BE DISSAPOINTED.

Yes, I do need to quit smoking, but I dont think I will ever buy a Nokia. Sony has me spoiled on there phones.

Second i just took a video indoors with my n95 and moved around the room, then played it back and it wasn't jumpy! How do i even know that was an n95 in the link you gave?

The only thing 'strange is people like you whos life 'depends' on Wi-Fi on a small phone. I live in a small country town, that gets over run by touriest every year. So the town leaders has seen fit to make this town into a trap for them.

over here UK Prices show that the SE phones are better value for money
Nokia's over here are sooo expensive and and weird designs like N82's Keypad and N78's Design and Keypad
Nokia need to get a grip on designs seriously and also i dont like Nokia UI(User-Interface) or their retail packages
if you get a N82 for e.g. you would need to buy a Memory and if you use it for Music buy a decent pair of earphones
so it will become more expensive..
atleast with SE's you get Great Quality Earphones and decent sized memory card, SE have great retail packages
