Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970No I'm referring to Nokia N98. I saw it in a magazine front view and don't have idea whether it has a keypad on purely touchscreen...

Btw, I'm sure nick will not be interested knowing what "bubog" and "suka" means...

nick, 19 Jun 2008sniper, have you ever opened up a qvga video on a computer?... moreThat small box your talking about is not a qvga, it is called a media player just in case you don't know what that is. And you can zoom it up zoom it down, full screen etc. just in case you don't know how to use it.

And a bigger lens is not everything when it's about natural colors or color rendition - it's software baby, sooooftwaaaaarreeee....

sniper, have you ever opened up a qvga video on a computer? it is a tiny little box in the corner, it is unusable.

and in daylight, having a bigger lens is an advantage, on the n95, the photos are equivalent to a digital camera when exposed to daylight, its truely great.

we'll argue about cameras when you all buy the c905 and nokia release their next one, because trust me, its going to be a harder argument, if any. sony erricson seem to have stepped up a gear with the new one (except the video).

but for now, the gsmarena 5mpx shootout says it all.

nick, 19 Jun 2008no, im the smart guy here who bought the nokia because i do... moreYou're argument has been very very intriguing eversince.

First of all, who cares about the name cyber-shot, people are not paying for the name. It's the performance.

The XENON flash issue is true. N95 cannot match that.

In perfect light, I disagee - K850 wins. That is why people say it's has natural pics, coz when you take pictures of nature and natural sceneries like lakes, mountains, praries, it's good. It's very very good.

I can gaurantee that The N95's winning point is in low light conditions, like inside buildings and low-lit living rooms.

About the video, resolution is a pointer yes. But like what i said again and again, it's not just size that matters - King Kong is helpless against Superman, something like that.

Coz you have to consider the bit rate, or the amount of data a video file has.

In comparison, if the video size of two samples are different, but the bit rate are the same, technically the smaller video has the advantage.

I'm not saying that the k850 is better than N95, but saying that N95 is far superior than N95 is highly debatable. It can only be superior over the K850i if and only if the N95 can cover all of the functions of the K850i.

To sum all of this things up:

I will only accept the fact that the N95 is far more superior than N95 if and only if the N95 has everything that the K850i has.

(do not tell me that it has all, coz xenon alone is the major example)

no, im the smart guy here who bought the nokia because i do not just jump on the bandwagon being that a flashy word 'cybershot' means better.

a camera is all about its lens and optics, and all the hardware involved with the camera on the k850 is vastly inferior to the hardware on the n95.

okay the k850 has a xenon flash, so yes the phone is better at night (obviously), im not gna lie and say the LED on my n95 is anywhere near as good, but during the day (when a camera really counts) is when the n95 shines.

if you took a photo of somewhere during the day with an n95 and then with the k850, the photo on the n95 will be FAR better.

stop talking about this natural colour rendering, this is total garbage, its just one of those laughable excuses made by SE fans. if you take a photo with a standard camera, the photos are always coloured up to impress the user! no digital camera produces washed out photos like the k850 so this is total rubbish!(also who wants natural?!)

my next point is the video. the k850 is marketed as a cameraphone, yet sony ericcson have never personally made a cameraphone with VGA video recording (standard on all real digital cameras). my nokia n95 does have this, in fact even older nokias have this when they are not even supposed to be camera phones. they are trying to save moeny here! the video is part of the overall experience.

                                      in brief:

the n95 produces better photos in the day quite substantially.

                                      the n95 video is better

the n95 doesn't blur unlike the k850 which is terrible at blurring! i find 50% of the shots i take on a k850 are blurred!

the n95 has a manual lens cover so putting fingerprints over the lens is hard. wheres the point in an automatic lens cover when theres a bit of plastic infront of it which easily gets covered in fingerprints!

thats my argument, try your hardest to argue against it.
