Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970i actually have a life. maybe your the one who needs one. anyway, i don't even care what phones other people have and i don't really care how some people here brag about their nokia symbian phones.

i'm just happy that nokia fans waste their precious time bragging about their n95. haha. why? i don't know. maybe they feel inferior now that there's this k850i getting all the market share PLUS the new Nokia n82 which makes their n95 falling way behind the competition.

      cheers. ^_^

K850 is a dedicated camera phone. It's first and main function is the 5MP camera on the back. It uses the camera absolutely perfectly and you couldn't expect more from it, all the features you'll ever need are there.

The phone does however take a bit of getting used. The interface is slightly different to previous SE phones and the buttons can feel awkward to begin with. Within a couple of days you'll love it.

K850 is absolutely amazing camera phone when compared to other phones in the market because of its natural color rendering and fantsastic cybershot features such as bestpic, photofix.
And friends don't compare K850 with sluggish N95 and some of them making a comment here in this forum saying that N95 as a smartphone common....dont say N95 as a smartphone. The term smartphone will be suitable for HTC and Xperia not for N95.
Term Wastephone will be suitable for N95.And finally k850 is made for camera and it's well ahead in it's camera perspective than all the other camera phone devices.
Launch of C905 will set a milestone in the camera phone history.Sony Ericsson always the best!!!

Well, if your younger , you might want something sleek and slick like the K850, But if your older and looking for features, go for the N95. It's your choice, the best phone is the phone you pick for yourself , not the phone someone else picks for you. If you like it, it's number 1!

dani i think if we look at the disadvantages associated with the k850

i.e as a cameraphone is TOTALLY fails.

                  then the n95 is superb.

you want a nice quick smartphone with a camera you can use on a day to day basis then the n95 delivers perfectly.

oh wait nokia were also nice enough to include a million other features.

you SE owners do not know what you're missing. everyone who owns both phones says the n95 camera is far better

...., 14 Jun 2008you just need to use the proper settings when taking pics..... moreSo thats the problem, more closer the object more darker the background produced.
When I take the building strangely it turns dark, almost black as a image results.but when I turn off the xenon, the pictures came bright and clear even in night time.thats obviously strange right it?when you turn the xenon inlow light condition, the background turns dark, but when you turn the off the xenon you can see the background clearly and bright.
Xenon should be light up all the dark environment right?
Is it a another software malfunction or what?

Advantages using Nokia N95 over SE K850i-
Wireless LAN, Bigger screen size, excellent user interface- thanks to symbian o.S., TV out, Dual slide design, better camera quality- Overall in all modes, Superb audio quality due to double sided speakers, Superb video quality thanks to 16 M colors ,Inbuilt RAM and Processor which is missing in SE.

Advantages of SE over Nokia N95- Less expensive, Xenon flash , smaller.

And in comparing K850i with N95 8GB, Sorry there is no comparison at all as SE can't be compared with the king of all.

I have both handsets. Nokia N95 and SE K850i. Both are on O2 contract. And I can give you 100% promise that , if I want to compare those. SE:Nokia=5:10. Simply. Period

Tsepz, 14 Jun 2008You've got it all wrong mate. NOKIA do not rely on Symbian ... moreI truly agree with you on user interface of symbian used my Nokia. Its good, neat and very interesting. I am really bored with the SE user interface. No changes from their first model. Same 4*4 or 3*3 grid alignment of icons. Nothing new. Except touch screen handset. But mass don't those.

johndru, 14 Jun 2008k850i?an avg phone?haha..you're funny tsepz. n95 maybe one ... moreYou've got it all wrong mate. NOKIA do not rely on Symbian mainly because 95% of the Nseries and Eseries owners dont even know what Symbian is because it is hardly advertised. Think about it, which NOKIA TV Advert says anything about Symbian? NONE. SE use Java because they were mainly aiming for the mass market but that has exploded in their face thus why the G700 and G900 Smartphones were made. Also another reason why SE didnt use Symbian as much as NOKIA was because of the cost of development, components for the Pseries and the fact that they didnt own Symbian UIQ until late 2006.
The S40 platform is a simple platform for users who dont need smartphone capabilities and features and its cheap and quick develop and to make thus why they out sell SEs, simple.
Look at Apple with the iPhone, if it was Java i doubt it would have sold as much. Apple, HTC, and NOKIA are Smart enough to know that an Operating System in a phone is the future, look at the marketshare figures, even RIM with the BlackBerrys realised it, now they have 107% growth, i think you get the idea? SE recently dropped and now are relying on WM with the SE X1 gain some share in the USA.

...., 14 Jun 2008how many Sony Ericsson have you used since 2000? what ... moreI used almost all kind of models of SE and Nokia from 2000. First upon try to understand I told in long run if you gonna use your phone, I feel N series is quite good than SE. More functions, good user interface and afcourse a big screen, which make lot of difference. When you buy contract or something , you are almost fixed for 12 months atleast, so while taking such a big decision , I think we should consider the position of ourself after using handset for 4 months. Go to that moment and then tell me which you will prefer ? SE or N series? Or as it is to sell every handset after 2 months and buy another, never ending process, isn't it ? And in doing this calculate how much loss everyone got till date ?

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970k850i?an avg phone?haha..you're funny tsepz. n95 maybe one of nokia's ever-popular SYMBIAN phones but does it really matter?

i find nokia TOO DEPENDENT on SYMBIAN OS that they become LAZY and much becoming S2PID of not enhancing their own series 40 devices.

just compare the nokia s40 to Sony ericsson platform.. nokia is way behind experimenting and integrating new ideas to their platform.

Nokia always rely on SYMBIAN just to get MARKET SHARE. unlike SE that can stand on its own. that's how a true mobile phone company should be.

                                    mabuhay ang Sony Ericsson!hehe..

I just got my K850i 2 days ago and so far i like it. i've been using sony ericsson phones for years now and for me sony ericsson works and suits my phone needs. you guys need not battle over which phone is better.... nokia, motorola, sony ericsson, etc...it depends which phone will work for you.
