they arent nokia biased, theya re just like me, cannot think of any reason why sony erricson is better
and dani? wtf?
the camera stability is far superior to the k850 because the shutter speed is so much quicker!
everything the n95 does, it does better than the k850 (except looks) so you're just shooting yourself in the foot.
this is meant to be a camera phone, yet the n95 has more camera features than the k850.
end of story.
sniper i do like you for some reason cos ur the only person around here who has a personality. we could all be mistaken for raging robots :D

This is the N95 Explained, its not something special, and it cant replace Standalone Devices, its just a Hype
I agree that n95 does kind of integrate a lot of things into 1 device but my problem is its not superior in any feature.
for example:
gps is not the best of its kind
camera isnt the best - omg stabilityand flash is bad
battery life isnt the best still
video capture isnt the best
OS still slow even after the upgrade.
the sliding mechanism is unreliable
document viewer and editor isnt the best too
the good bits like 8gb memory, large and quality display size were there to compensate for its lack of superiority but that wouldnt do for me.
N95 is like:

N95 is not the best - that's what my shoes are telling me.
And having a lot of features doesn't mean being the best.
it's like;
"Having a bite of everything doesn't make your belly fat"
It's already a lesson in life. Fancying the things that your eyes can see (but your mind cannot)is what drives a person to like something, and leads to demise.

yeah sorry geotagging is what i meant and if the sony blogging thing is true then i accept that.
but nobody can say the n95 photos are poor, they are superb and the shutter rate is quicker on the n95 so the photos are rarely ever blurred, which is a total contrast to the k850 where basically every photo is blurred!
bigger screen is not always bigger, 2.8inch in qvga is pushing it n95-2
i dno why everyone here in this forum just closes their eyes and just claims the k850 is better than the n95, yes its far sexier but its just nothing in comparison.

I just wanna add up some trivia -
Somebody said that symbian is a stable OS.
Fact: No
Symbian doesn't even have its own programming language, unlike Java.
Don't even know if its using c++ or something
And remember Commwarrior V, the widespread phone virus that affected a lot of Symbian phones.
Bigger screen is better
Fact: Not always.
You should also consider the contrast, brightness, resolution, number of colors, and the screen's special feature, like touchscreen or autocontrast(K850 has autocontrast, look at the top-left corner of the screen and you will see a small photosensor)
Bigger internal memory is better.
Fact: almost true
Yes it is generally thought to be better, but what happens when your phone fails - or simply when your out of batteries? you just can't get those files out your phone. So, expandable is always better. and what's better is when you can use two different types of memory storage device.
I also want to add up another thing about the shutter-flash-not-at-sync misconception that Someone just picked up in the net - it isn't true.
If you are a K850 owner read the manuals - and those pieces of paper that is inside your SE box.
You will know why it happens.

dani! the video quality is 4x times worse! stop digging yourself a hole. you and i both can agree the video quality is nothing on the n95's.
also the wifi is certainly not a useless feature! voip calling anyone? i use it all the time because orange are so expensive, and also when i go to america (all the hotels have free wireless)so i phone home free!
also the browser is brilliant on the n95
and dani, why do you hate smartphones so much! there are plenty of applications already on the n95 which you can delete or add to at your own discretion
also the gps is totally open to 3rd party apps and can be used to add a gps data to the photos.
so the n95 has this against the k850 camerawise:
>4x better video quality
>.42mm bigger lens
>add GPS data to photos
>direct upload to windows live or flickr (really really efficient!)
>the camera starts up quicker
>and saves the photos faster!
the k850 has:
-xenon flash (doesnt flash at the same time)
-LED's for that awful qvga video recording
you would almost mistake the n95 for being the dedicated cameraphone!

I really dont see the point in Wi-Fi and GPS in N95..
GPS isnt as good as Standalone GPS's e.g. TOMTOM or Garmin the performance is better on the Standalone ones.
and Wi-Fi needs HotSpots, and plus N95's screen is smaller then a Laptop, so for internet on the move you cant Beat a Laptop.
so N95 already has 2 Useless Features, which half of users wont even use.
and Symbian, again its down to the User, only weirdos would stuff their phone full of applications which 'Makes the phone better' if thats the case, cant Nokia put good Applications as Standard? LOL
Nokia has really lost it.....
K850i has the Best 5MP Camera out of all of the Phones.
i took a picture with N95 8GB and the with K850i , same picture with both phones of my Older phones.
and guess what?
K850i pics looked NATURAL and Clear, thanks to the Xenon Flash!
im the only person in my family to have a K850i, everyone else has N95 8GB ..im being Unique, my 2 uncles have N95 8GB and my cousin has Samsung G600 and i have K850i.
K850i won between G600
K850i won between N95 8GB Twice!
K850i won against my friends N82
K850i won against the Original N95(Uncles old phone)
and K850i has 3 LED lights for Video Recording so it scores again...
K850i scores again because it has a Camera Cover, something N95 8GB and G600 lack.
K850i has Better Music Player then both G600 and N95 8GB
K850i has Faster UI then both N95 8GB and G600
K850i & G600 have better Battery Life then the N95/N95 8GB
K850i has Dual Memory card slot, more memory!! up to 32GB, wins over both N95 8GB and G600, G600 only has up to 2GB, N95 has 8GB only..
K850i is a CandyBar Design, so it wins again..because its tougher then the Sliders.

Sniper. I will credit the k850 for having a xenon flash, but from what i read before on an internet site, the flash and the shutter don't work at the same time leading to either under exposed pictures or over exposed pictures.

I just challenged a friend with his N95 to shoot a whiteboard full of written words and numbers.
Guess what - without flash, full auto - mine registered all the details. Even when a hint of flourescent's reflection is visible, the details are still there.
My friend was aware that his N95 couldn't do it; "ay. di kaya ng cel ko yan..(oh, my phone couldn't perform well like that)"
then I said; "try mo lang. Ang alam ko kaya yan eh.(Let's give it a try. I know it can)"
To the least of my expectations, it turned out blurred and double-visioned.
Then I said; "ulitin mo, ayusin mo settings tsaka wag kang malikot (Try it again, play with the settings and try not to shake it..)"
well, so much expectations I had he just didn't try the third time.
the last time I said; "laru-laruin mo lang mga functions nya para ok yung kuha nya (Try playing with the settings next time for a nicer shot)"
But deep inside I really really was down with Allan and Nick's superior phone...
even with the wi-fi thats needs hotspots, or the gps that is second rate, it just doesn't satisfy.
As of this moment I'm looking for anyone I know with N82, coz I wanna know how well it performs.

I couldn't get what you are talking about..the lens of k850 is not good..common man.....
I have tried with both phones N95 and K850 where K850 produces absolutely natural pic(what you see in your naked eye) than N95 which produces abnormal colors then what is the use of having carl zeiss lens in it.
Nokia can't even produce their own lenses unlike SE and can't use the available lense properly too.
Sony Ericsson is the name which created revolution in camera phone..I hope you know that K750 is the best 2 mega pixel phone ever likewise k790/k800/k810 offering 3 megapixel & K850 which ruled ou the camera department so only the expert knows how to shape up an product unlike nokia.

A best camera phone to have is none other than K850!!!
1)It offers a great camera capability with amazing pic results.
2)Complete dedicated hardware keys and options for the camera which is not available any of the phones.
3)Amazing battery life where you can take as many shots as possible.(Unlike N95)
4)Excellent Multi-Media device that offers walkman 3.0 interface and MagaBass functionality.
5)UI-auto rotate really superb to use.
6)Touch Keys works like a charm.
7)Direct printing of pics via HP printer.
8)5 Megapixel camera phone that offers excellent natural color saturation for the pics.
9)Powerful xenon flash to capture the pics in dark.
10)Bestpic & Photofix that was quite handy where best shots will be always there to capture.
To sum up all if you are looking for a real camera phone then K850 is the best choice to have!!!

hey, i like the recent samsungs, phones like the G810 are good phones
i used to have a motorola v3x, i think it was brilliant.
i used an LG, it was mediocre
ive used a k850's camera, i thought it was crap and wont stop blurring.
i jsut think nokia cannot be beaten at the moment, especially by these little joke phones.

Its still fixed to R1EA037.
However, if you were not able to download this firmware when it was released, you will not be able to download it today - for some reasons.
And also, other phones with the same platform already has a new firmware, R1FXXXX. Since the C902 and C702 are to be released this Quarter, the K850 upgrade has been temporarilly closed.

i think its funny how everyones having so many problems with their k850s.
and i like the way everyone quotes from 1 cnet website which rates the k850, but every other site on the internet says the n95 is better, even without a xenon flash.
lalalala, when will you lot learn.
just read between the lines. sony ericsson want profit so they give you
-the cheapest crappiest lens ever
-embarrasing video quality
yet print "cybershot" next to it, and you're all falling at their feet
