i've had this phone for a week now and honestly, i was kind of dismayed of the fact that my nokia 5610 captures better images than this 5mp.
on my k850i, i find the pics kinda pale and dull. the color depth is unsatisfying. also, the screen is OFF-WHITE to YELLOWISH. i dunno if it's the new "natural" color for SE phones or it's just the k850i. you can compare the screen to ANY SE phones or Nokia and you'll notice that the screen is really YELLOWISH.
the xenon flash really really is a big plus to this phone. but i noticed that when you use the flash and take pics of yourself or with a group, your background will turn dark.
(what if you want to take pics on a beautiful background? it wouldn't be possible not unless you turn off the flash!)
the menu is kinda laggy!!!!
all-in-all, i rate my k850i 7 stars out of 10.

K850 is really an interesting camera phone to have with tremendous Cybershot v2.0 features!!!

Loved my K750i Just a well balanced phone.. The 850i tho..mm I don't think the camera is good.Im sure it confuses itself when metering a shot, pics without flash are great tho.
The Keys are not ergonomically designed at least not for the average hand. The Touch screen is a pain you either miss the button or get a double press! :(
Must say its a solidly built phone tho high quality finishes. Good screen even in sunlight. Lacks wifi, I think thats important these days even though it does have HSDPA up2
3.6m .
Like the phone , but if i was given a try before you buy option , I don't think i would
keep it.

im gonna put my old 6233 and K850i at contest with Video Recording.
so thats
QVGA vs VGA
240x320 vs 640x480
its gonna be a Quality match, it doesnt matter on the resolution. its all about the Quality of Video-ing.
K850i is NOT Crap, its just Perfect in terms of Quality all round.

we have to realise that not everybody here is privately educated.
obviously 320x240 is a quarter
double would be (2x320)x240
or 320 x (2x240)
oh well.

320(times 2) by 240 (times 2) = 640x480
or in other words 320x240 is a quarter of 640x480 (qvga is a quarter of vga)
or in other words, if you put a 320x240 image beneath another 320x240 image and another beside the second 320x240 and another 320x240 image beside the first one, (4 all in all) you make 640x480.

when you are in a message just press options
select mark and copy
a black thick cursor will appear
press mark then scroll along the desired words
then press copy.
then go back to creating a message then again go to options then select copy and paste.
then select paste.
That was very simple.

some how i had the touch problem just like most people but then after sooo much fustration it worked even after i dropped it really bad and hit a brick when i was playin footy lol i am happy with this sort of thing good build sony ericsson all the time please correct a few problems

That is so full of crap!!!! anyting can break, if not us carefull users will make things last 4eva. which is neva true about any thing u buy!!! I love SE but i have to agree with Jono, with all the trouble i've had, i carnt stand this phone. lv the spec did lv the phone!!!! just way to many probs with it
