I decide wan to buy this phone but i heard that the three soft key are not functioning after few months of use.And the worst is it is not repairable.Can someone please clarifly for me..thanks

Hi, Hazel ^_^ A very long time, it has been.
Mine is R1EA037 as well, latest in the Phil. Try saving the theme files on your phone memory. Crystal theme is its default theme and once you reset the phone, that theme is the first to fire up.
The reboot is the main bug of the new firmware. I've been following a thread of forums to guide me with my phone.

after going inside the forum press CTRL+F and type the letters below

my version is R1EA037, i just updated it last week. can somebody told me what are the bugs on this version? my phone is restarting and the profile is always changing into crystal profile. im wondering whats the reason. thanks

i was thinking about getting this phone.
but ended up getting a G800.. never ever once the nokia n95 came across my mind...
and ive used nokia all my life...
i wanted a phone that make calls, text and one with the ability of taking nice photos with low lightings (eg, drunken pics in a pub or clubs).. i only got the samsung for one reason, the optical zoom and im very happy with it so far. with out that i would have got the k850i..
Why dont i just buy a 12mp digital camera??
***im a man: i carry 3 things! Phone, Wallet and Keys...
PS: SE 5mp files 1500kb. samsung: 2500kb and nokia 1200kb..

Don't open your champagne bottles yet.
Don't forget that the rest of the world - not only Europe - must decide who's the best.
Look at the previous winners of TIPA. They are all inclined mostly to Nokia's side. Even the N80 was chosen against an obviously more competitive K800.

let me take a Picture with both phones of my Mates
1 of my mates own a K850i
one of my other mates owns a N82
il take the same picture with both Phones and il see who wins..
becuase if your right then il thank you for telling me the right advice.
if im wrong then blame me for not testing the cameras first....
SE had their days with the Best cameraphones with K800i/K810i thats when Nokia failed.
Nokia has now leaped ahead as you say (Maybe)
i still get a feeling the K850i will be better!

sorry dani, the cameraphone crown has finally shifted to nokia.
if sony erricson were serious about photography, surely they would put in a proper video camera?

If u get a Sony Ericsson K850i that turns on, keypad lights up, but no display and the camera indicator ring stays on blue, then u have a fault with the handset and requires CUSTOMISATION to repair this problem, general upgrading of SW will not fix this issue.

OMG! that message i wrote earlier acchewly got on this forum from my K800i !
Amazing...
